Hi cocoHolly,

It cost us $388 to rent their AV equipment (I know, pretty ridiculous). I'm sure you can bring your own. Good luck.

Coco holly

I just asked to bring my own equipment just for the ceremony. (SO that i could play my own songs to walk down to) and then have the trio for the cocktail hour. Marlene said absolutely not. That i would either have to rent the DJ's equipment for both reception AND ceremony (which is an extra 300 some dollars) or just use the trio. So since I had already booked the reception DJ equipment and she still wouldnt let me bring my own stereo for just the 20 minute ceremony I doubt she will allow you to bring in your own stuff.
BUT IF SHE DOES- let me know, cause i have a feeling I could get around this and it is really aggravating that she said no. I mean what would she do if i just started playing my music that day? Run and shut it off?

I have a question for those of you that have been to Bar H.

When it is not done for weddings i have seen pictures that have lounge chairs/loveseats/cushions outside around the bar and that small pool area that is accessible because it is indoor outdoor. You know in the surrounding grassy area.

Do they keep that lounge area set up during a wedding too? I would love that and think my guests would enjoy that if i did end up going with the cigar roller.

Sorry for the multiple posts, but I wanted to let anyone know who is still looking for a photographer...I found a couple who live part time in PC and their work is AMAZING. Beyond Amazing. I am so sad they will be leaving ONE day before my wedding for a trip out of country, but thought you guys might want to check them out. I almost considered asking the hotel to push my wedding date up by two days (cause ill be there for a week) just so have them. :(

Also they have pictures of a recent wedding at BBPD so thought that might be helpful too. Here is their blog link if you want to check it out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
