Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe

Recommended Posts

Thanks Nat!

I went online and got prices from both their website and expedia... just to get an idea. I am sending out July 2013 save the dates - because I don't have the date confirmed yet... this way my guests have an idea of when and where it would be and can start planning their trip.

I'll update the forum once I get anything confirmed... any prices/pkgs anything...

again, thanks so much everyone!

Yay!!! I got my date!!! October 26, 2013 at 4pm!!! Whoo hoo. Also a note to those a little hesitant to go with Tropical Pictures. I got engaged in Barcelo Punta Cana and have also been plenty of times to Barcelo Bavaro. The day after we got engaged, we decided to capture the moment with a photo session with Tropical Pictures. I must say, they were the best pictures we've ever taken. Below is a picture "Miguel" took of us and it's just amazing. I can't wait to show them at our engagement party next weekend.

Hi trivera, I was reading one of your older posts in which you mentioned you had taken a lot of pics on your site visit. Have you by any chance posted them somewhere since then? If not, do you by any chance have a pic of chillout rooftop?

WTunner: I only had one pic of the rooftop area becuase it was out of our budget at an addtional $500. I will say that its an amazing space and if you can swing it then rock with it!! The only thing is that its directly across from the outdoor theatre and the WC said they have shows everyday and one at 7:00pm for children. Although they block it off so that no one can enter your private party you will still hear all the noise from the crowd and the shows. 232323232fp63578_nu=3263_248_;7__WSNRCG=376854536432_nu0mrj.jpg

Good morning,

So Lianny said that both tropical Pictures and the DJ are confirmed. So if any of you want to book Tropical Pictures or the DJ, your WC should be able to take care of that which is good because we wont have to deal with 4-5 different vendors at a time!

Happy monday everyone!

Hey trivera I was wondering if that 500 included the private drink service? I havent heard of a base price like that for the space, more like 12/person.

Miss Jali I am using a travel agent. Never used destinationwedding. My travel agent is able to use a whole seller so her prices included rooms plus flights from wherever our guests will fly out of as a bundled price. Because we have guests from over 10 different states, prices are different depending on where you are flying out of, but way cheaper then if you booked your room, then later used say orbitz to book a flight. I mean like 800 dollars cheaper in some cases.

When I first started this process I considered not using one, and I was going to direct guests to deltavacations.com or vacationstogo.com because they both had really great prices for room + flight. I still dont think doing that is a bad idea, but using a TA helps you communicate with the wedding cord on site faster (it seems atleast to me), keeps all your guests in the know and for me it has been giving them the best prices at the time of reserving including locked in rates.  They will include things like airport transportation as well. Hope that helps. But you could price check the destinationwedding website with the prices on deltavacations and vacationstogo just to make sure you are getting the best prices from either source. (My actual flying date isnt out for a few weeks so I have just been doing the closest date possible, so for now, May.)  Oh and also Deltavacations has a deal with BBPD for extra amentities if booked through them- so room service, faster check ins, champagne, etc.

Oh Eva I forgot to tell you. I got on vacationstogo.com and then in the upper right hand corner clicked hotels and resorts. Then find BBPD and select it. Once you do that you can put in your dates for travel and which airport you are coming out of and for some reason even though the air is "not published" yet, this site allowed me to see prices for my June 2013 wedding.  And the site is legit. My parents booked with them last year to stay in the DR and got great prices. Just thought you could try out your July dates if you wanted. They have good prices. My TA told me prices are already established, they just havent put them out yet, so maybe this site is just allowed to do so.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
