Hi all:

 

I didn't realize there is a newbie thread. I just wanted to say hi! I love this website. It's so addictive. My fiance and I got engaged last Dec and are currently planning our wedding for Sept 2011 in beautiful Jamaica! We're so excited. We're going to do some site visits next weekend. I can't wait to update about our process and when we officially book a resort and set our date in stone!

Thanks everyone. I'm worried now though bc Hurricane Tomas is developing and it's suppose to possibly head to JA. I'm so mad! My fiance's telling me don't worry or jump the gun yet, but how can I not when we're scheduled to leave Fri morn, the same day apparently when the hurricane is suppose to make it's appearance. I just called Expedia to find out what can be done for our flight/hotel if need be. Please pray for us that this hurricane loses it's power overall and just goes away.

It rains mostly in the afternoons which is typical weather for this time of year.  We should know by Tuesday what Tomas will do.  Hopefully, it will just go away. 

 

Congratulations and hope you enjoy your trip.  Site visits is so much fun.  I really enjoyed mine.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
