I need to check out Emerald Bay.. I haven't even glanced at it.

Yes, we're going with the Beautiful Beginnings package as well. I don't plan to make many changes. I'm getting my bouquet made by someone at my office. We're having a very small group 8-10 people, so I'll pay for the 30 minute cocktail reception--and from what the other brides at Beaches have told me is that I can ask the on-site coordinator to make reservations at one of the 16 restaurants...so we'll do that for a reception.

How about you? Are you making any changes?

Hey girls!

I leave for Turks & Caicos in exactly 19 weeks from today. With that said, why haven't my future-in-law's booked yet? Seriously, I don't know what they are waiting on... They do things SO differently from me. Also, my FI has yet to renew his passport. It's been expired since June.

Clearly, I need to work on dealing with procrastinators since I'm marrying into a family full of them,

Sorry for the vent. How is everyone else?

  • 2 weeks later...

Wow!! It is 4 months from today!

How's your planning going? I'm only expecting 8 guests, so a lot of my focus is on the huge AHR that we're having...but I have purchased my OOT bags and some of the contents. I have to work on the Welcome Books, the Wedding Survival Kit label, key card holders and that's about it.

For the AHR we're inviting 150 guests and it will be somewhat formal. I'm sending boarding pass invites for that--to stick with the DW theme.

My planning is good but it sounds like I am a little behind! We have about 40 people going and I will have a solid number on December 1 because everyone has to put a deposit down on the room. I sent out our invitations and they took me forever! I ordered the inserts but I put a starfish & ribbon on all of them and we sent out 75. I have ordered the fans and started on the wording for our programs. I have to do the OOT bags, Welcome books, (I have bought the books but have not printing anything)  and a million other little things!

We are going to register today so one less thing for out list :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
