I also had a dress that I loved soo much and kept on seeing the dress everywhere.  However when I tried on the gown it did nothing for me.  I'm a street size 10 with a big bust and I tried on several gowns and fell in love with a Maggie Gown. Before I went to the bridal salons I double checked that they carry several sizes.  The number one thing that you want to do is call bridal salons and ask them if the carry a large amount of plus size gowns or what the largest sample size that you can squeeze into.  The main thing is to have fun and know that the consultant is there to make you comfortable not matter what and if you have concerns voice them so she can help you.  They know the store and know the gowns that they have and know what you may look good on you.  Good Luck!!

Ohh!! Glad it as the band around the middle, my stomach is my main problem area.  I love the Maggie Sottero line also.  I will be going soon to start trying on dresses, I just wish they had more in plus size in the store.

They have clever ruching in the midsection that is very forgiving and makes you look so slim.. plus they come in up to size 28 and they are modern and elegant, and not frumpy ugly like you'd expect from a plus size gown.

I'm officially a maggie bride, and got the call last week that my dress is in! I go in a few weeks for my first fitting.

I got the Rhonda style dress.

          Go check them out!!!

I agree about the Maggie dresses. I just love her designs.  I am actually getting Odessa. Ordering it mid december trying to drop a dress size before I go in.

Rhonda is a beautiful dress, Great choice!
