I'd love to do it but we have such a wide array of ages attending the wedding that finding an activity to suit the majority would be difficult.  And I think a lot are just coming for a 3 day weekend and some are doing Thurs-Sun and some Fri-Mon so I can't even imagine where we'd fit it in.  But our resort has soooo much to do that we'll organize some free activities on-site.

we're getting married on one of the patios overlooking the property - we wanted tropical but not beach.  we've been to Atlantis about 4 times and love it - it really is beautiful...but expensive.  and our guestes seem excited about the choice.  can't wait!

I love the idea of a catamaran cruise! I would love to do that for my guests, and I love the suggestion of paying for more immediate family and/or bridal party and partially paying for others who are interested in going. If my group is a reasonable size I'd love to pay for everyone, but if we end up with 30+ people, the costs could add up quickly!

I plan on scheduling a catamaran/party cruise for everyone. I know it is asking a lot of the guests and I would not be mad if some did not want to do it. If we were to pay for anyone it would be our parents and maybe some of the bridal party. Otherwise that is a lot of money since usually, at least in DR, these type of excursions cost anywhere from $75-$100 per person, specifically the Catmaran cruise was $90 pp. At least that is how much they were when I went this past June.  But how  much fun would it be to go on one of these with everyone?? I am going to try and set it up and see how people feel about it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
