New location "Cabanas La Luna" in Tulum from del Sol Photography

Recommended Posts

HOLA Amigas and Amigos of BDW!

We recently shot a wedding at an amazing little spot and wanted to spread a little buzz.... Tulum is such a magical spot to get married and its time that the cabanas that exist there get some face time awareness on BDW.   Anyway,  please check out this awesome little spot.

We think tulum is a dream.... there are SO many little spots tucked away here that haven't been reviewed / discussed / discovered by BDW... We are going to change that!

some text from their website:

We had this dream... What if you could wash ashore on a beautiful tropical island with a group of friends and you would build yourself a cozy little settlement of colourful decorated, wooden houses right there on the beach? What if a local Mama would prepare lunches and dinners with local ingredients fresh from the sea and the gardens, serving it in the little village square? What if you could create your own electricity and water supply and be completely self-sufficient? Wouldn't that be a fairy tale come true?

We thought so, so we bought a piece of beautiful beach land in Tulum (Mexico) and created our dream. It is the dream we want to share with you. Our own little magical island of authenticity: La Luna. La Luna is build like a tiny little village. Private, elegant, warm and friendly with a nice central gathering place where you can enjoy our local fresh dishes with our other guests.

Also from their website:
Restaurant:

Our new restaurant; Las Estrellas. We will be blending European skills and recipes with fresh, local ingredients. Our specialties will be fish and vegetables, but of course there will be plenty more. We have the ability to do all that your palette could possibly desire.

Our bread will be made fresh daily, and we will offer light lunches and healthy drinks throughout the day. In the mood for a mojito, beer or margarita? No problem! We will have all of that too.

To keep in theme with the atmosphere that is La Luna, our restaurant will be quaint and intimate so that we can provide nothing but the best service to all of our customers. We look forward to serving you in the future.

Creditcards are accepted in the restaurant.

Matt,

Thanks for posting this.  I completely agree with you about all the undiscovered places in Tulum.  It really is a very magical place!! Brides who like embracing a secluded, pristine, less commercial hotel venue, I would definitely check all the amazing eco-hotels in Tulum.

I finally did my review of La Luna on here and other brides who are interested should also check out the many wedding reviews on Trip advisor of La Luna as well as other eco-resorts in Tulum (La Zebra, Nueva Vida de Ramiro, Rancho San Eric, etc...).

But my first choice for a wedding will always be La Luna because of what a great experience it was to take over the whole place for a few days with all my loved ones, getting married on the magical beach, and the absolutely wonderful staff they have there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
