I've just found out that the date I booked at DRC over a year ago has now been booked for another wedding too.  I'm very disappointed and worried this will spoil our day and also make using the resort for hair and make-up a problem if there are 2 wedding parties using them on the same day.  Has anyone else shared their wedding day and if so how was it?  Our date is December 9th 2010.

I obviously haven't been through this, though it could easily happen to me as well.  For the salon, I think the key will be to make sure you have your hair/makep appointments booked well in advance so in a first come first serve environment, you are first!!  At my resort they have the ceremony times spaced out at 1pm and 5pm in the event there are 2.  In that situation the person for the 1pm wedding should be leaving the salon before the time the person for the 5pm wedding is heading in.

The other thing is to not let the fact there is another wedding bother you.  This will not be the first time your resort has done 2 weddings on one day, so I am sure they will be quite professional and make sure the two wedding parties don't come across each other.

My suggestion is just to make sure you try and plan ahead as much as possible, so you are always first!  Don't stress - your wedding will still be fantastic and when you are in the moment you won't care what is happening at the rest of the resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
