Recommended Posts

I am looking for some suggestions in regards resort for the wedding. Here is what i'm looking for:

resort that has different hotels like 5stars or 4stars on the property, so guests can have options which one to stay at. Reasonable price for the wedding ceremony to some point

2. kid friendly, i know some hotels up untill certain age children stay and eat free

3.nice set up for the wedding and pictures.

I have stayed at Iberostar/Rio both are very nice

4.Is February/March considered a high season in regards $?We will be flying out of Boston, MA. We will probably have no more then 20ppl

I had a lot of the same criteria as you did when looking for a resort and my top picks were either Majestic Elegance, Majestic Colonial or Dreams Palm Beach. All of them are around the same prices, at least from where I'm from. You can check out pictures on their websites or go to the facebook groups: Majestic Elegance Brides, Majestic Colonial Brides, or Dreams Palm Beach Brides and check out actual girls pictures from their weddings. They are all kid friendly and have kids areas. Dreams allows 3 and under to be free.

As far as February/March it is during high season so it will be more expensive. Hope this helps!

We are getting married at Majestic Elegance.  It's perfect because the Elegance Club gives you the "adult-only" feel, but children can still stay and come to the wedding!  Check out their wedding pics http://picasaweb.google.com/Weddingbymajesticresorts.   I have all the info for wedding packages, extra's, and the menu's for the semi-private wedding dinner.  If you would like it send me your email.  Good luck and Congrats!!!

We are getting married at the Iberostar Bavaro in April. We also picked it because kids are allowed and because it offered different levels of service people wanted to spend more or less money. I've been to Iberostars, Rius, and Sunscape the Beach (which is now Dreams Punta Cana) - so far the Iberostars have definitely had the best service and overall experience for me!

I know for us, flying from Iowa/Illinois, February and March were definitely going to be high season and more expensive with spring break, etc., so that's why we chose April. Good luck on your decision!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
