great point. My family is giving me the hardest time about a destination wedding in general. I really feel the need to do exactly as you say and make it about who we are as a couple and as individuals.
A great example of a non-traditional ceremony. Don't be afraid to get creative!!

It doesn't matter how you creatively planned about the scheme of your wedding as long as it's you enjoy the moment of your big day. I love the video.

I feel like planning a DW allows our creativity to run wild! I'm soo excited about it. I always thought i'd have a great wedding in a church with all the traditional traditions (lol). Now that we are planning a DW I'm realizing that this is exactly what I've always wanted and i just didn't know it yet. It is kinda hard to let go of your inhibitions (at least for me it is), but once I get going I realize that i do have a lot of ideas and I'm doing this wedding MY way. I'm not having traditional wedding music (that was the first thing to go!) I'm having a lot of fun allowing my imagination guide me and my fiance to our Happily Ever After!!!

I'll still kept on watching the video. I just simply love it.
It's still more attractive to plan your own wedding scheme.
