Is anyone out there planning a wedding at La Amada in Playa Mujeres?

I'm planning on a wedding at the Beloved Hotel formerly known as La Amada Nov 2012. I'm curious to know how everyone's experience is going. The coordinator has been responsive on average 2-4 days. But I"m still early in planning. Everything is slowly adding up. Is anyone using another DJ outside of the preferred DJ?

Rmarino,

How did the wedding go? Do you have any tips and pics? I'm curious to know how it all went from ceremony-food-dancing-rooms etc...

Hi! Not sure if anyone is still using this thread since the hotel is now called The beloved but I can't seem to find a thread with the new name. If there is somewhere else where the beloved brides are posting please direct me there. I am trying to finalize plans for a wedding DEC 8th 2012. My very first choice is the Beloved. My fiance and I were there about a year and a half ago and fell in love with it.  I have been finding it very difficult to secure a group rate, not sure I am totally understanding all their policies.  Has anyone out there done a group rate directly with the hotel and had a good experience?  If not, how are brides finding having their guest book directly with the hotel?  Im not completely opposed to this, but im nervous that if I dont get a block of rooms reserved that the hotel will book up and some of my guests wont be able to stay there.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
