Im new here!! Have been looking all over Cancun for the perfect hotel, just came across La Amada today! Love the look of it!! If anyone has any pics or info it would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi there ladies, we recently signed a contract for a room block at La Amada Hotel for our destination wedding also in May 2012!! Wohoo! This hotel looks amazing.

 

I'm super excited but am having trouble getting photos of the Natura space for our reception (only found two non-wedding pics on-line). I originally planned on doing our reception (65ppl) at Isla Grill which looks amazing from all the wedding photo galleries I stalked on the internet, but.... I found out from our wedding coordinator that once the hotel moves to All-Inclusive in January 2012, they will no longer be offering their restaurants as an option for a private receptions. Boo! So our only option per the wedding coordinator is Natura or the beach. Anyway, if any of you ladies have gotten married at La Amada or have been to the hotel on a site visit, I'd really appreciate if you can share some details.....and or of course pics of the Natura space.

 

I want to start pre-planning decor for the reception, but the wedding coordinator said they "don't confirm space" until a month prior to your wedding. Uhhhh huh? I'm not sure if I'll even be able to get Natura, so I don't really know what to do but plans as if I have it. (?) Strange but I guess thats the way they do things in Mexico.

 

For the brides getting married after January 2012, where are you having your receptions?

 

Oh one last thing, I'd love to see some of your wedding websites so if you could kindly pass along your links.

Hi ladies, I'm having my wedding at La Amada in May 2012 too!

 

Do you know what the hotel charges for welcome bags? I emailed the wedding coordinator but I'm sure it'll be awhile before she responds with all the weddings she has going on.

Hi Everyone!! I also just came across LAH just a few days ago and having been hearing great things!!! Does anyone know any of the pricing for next may or june? I'm, having a hard time find any pricing info!  It also doesn't seem like they have a lot of extra to add on, is anyone bringing outside vendors? any help is greatly appreciated!!

La Amada continues to grow in popularity as more folks discover this gem of a property! I am working with the more and more couples who have selected La Amada for their wedding site and it is getting rave reviews all around.

I know it is very last minute, but the folks at the resort called me yesterday to offer some special incentives for anyone who can have their wedding in the end of Jan or Feb of 2012. If you have a small group and might be considering it, here are the added incentives for this specific time:

Travel Window:           January 26 to February 29, 2012

I just heard that La Amada is undergoing a name change. It will now be called The Beloved Hotel. Still affiliated with the Excellence Group so that is a good sign. I will post more about the name change as I learn more.

I am another future La Amada Bride. We visited the hotel the first week it was open and fell in love with it, so naturally when we got engaged there was no other choice. We will be getting married in May at Villa Balam Ha. Just wanted to be a part of the loop so I do not miss any of your great ideas!!

Hi Tillipipper, I feel in love with this hotel but I'm nervous because there aren't many brides with information on here!! I'm looking for a more intimate wedding we are prob going to have around 150 people I'm so stressed out because we are looking to do April 2013 and I really need to decide on a place ASAP to get save the dates out!!! Can you give me any info on the hotel how was the food, any kind of night lif,e can I do a Private dinner reception on the beach,etc.??? Thanks
