We did buy the flip-flop cards... they were much smaller than I expected - about 3.5 inches long maybe? I don't think anyone used them and they ended up being just a cool novelty. We also got the flip flop note books, shell leis (which were a big hit, actually), and beach balls (also a hit). I thought the shell leis would be dorky, but people actually wore them the entire weekend! Who knew?!?

Thanks! Thats funny about the leis... there is something about vacation and people doing the unexpected! :) I loved whole beach themed idea for the OOT... but now I'll have to decide... real cards may be more useful afterall.

I think I would suggest the real cards. The flip flop ones, although really cute are really quite small! I ordered the metallic ones instead and they are normal sized.

I also have ordered:

Just married flip flops

Bride/Groom visors

Cocktail parasols (my original idea for place cards)

Raffia Fans - wedding programs

Starfish - stinky! :)

Beach balls

Small beach buckets with sand tools for the kids

Squirty fish

Flip Flop note pads

Hibiscus candy bracelets

I'm sure there is more, but I can't think of anything else right now.

Sorry I am not sure about the flip flop playing cards.

However I ordered the regular playing cards with the flowers on the package from oriental trader and they are cute. I also got palm leafs, blue rose petals, mini starfish, flowered fans, ruler/bookmark flip-flop, and Hawaiian shirt note pad. I thought every thing was cool and in good looking for how cheep it cost. Good luck with your choice!

hi..

i just received my flipflop cards the other days.. and i personally dont like them..the idea is cute but the quality sucks..very cheap.. i thought they would be like regular playing cards just smaller but the quality isnt too good..

so im gonna send mine back..and just get regular size playing cards from costco..and put 1 per bag..instead of 1 per person..

How are the quality of the cards w/ flowers? Are they the same as regular playing cards... or are they more flimsy?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
