December 2011 Brides

Recommended Posts

my planning has been going pretty good. My travel mugs just came in from oriential trading. I just have to design the inserts to go in them and get them all together. My luggage tags also came in so i just need to design bussiness cards to go into them. lol wow i have alot to do. both the luggage tags and the mugs are going into a pre-trip bag that we are going to hand out to everyone who is going. (so far we habe 22 people booked!!) we figured that handing out the bags before we go will save us from having to take all of the stuff down with us. also in the bags will be a pre-trip brouchure on jamaica, the wedding timeline and what to pack (all that jazz). ok so i have alot to do still. (and i havent started anything for our AHR, all we know is we want to host a brunch in january)

so what i have done so far:

-all invitations sent out and already getting rsvps back

-contacted wedding co-ordinator (trying to work out a price for bonfire reception)

-booked boudoir for october 13th (i have most of my outfits and acessories)

-got my wedding dress and have gone for one fitting

Wow, that is weird!!!

We had to send our birth certificates 60 days prior or we would get 150$ fine.

For canadian some resorts ask for long version of birth certificates, ours did not.

Here is our document requirement. I am sure you would have something similar since you are getting married in Jamaica too.

I know it is for Sandals, but you would have same requirements. So I would contact your WD right away. Good Luck!

So I'm still debating on the whole BD shoot thing. I KNOW my fiance would love it, but it just makes me nervous!! Around here the two hour shoot and a 20 page "little black book" is $200, which is not bad, and I know I should just go for it.... smile41.gif

On another note, I got a bunch of wedding related decor, etc, last weekend. Time to get down to business! I'm making my guestbook as well as a bunch of my other paper related stuff currently. I need to get in to get my dress altered yet, as well as order my fiance's suit. Those top my list of to-do's right now. I also got my flower ordered finalized last week. Whew!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
