We also finally found wedding bands to go with my ring. I'll have pics of everything for you soon. Oh and how did I forget I just booked my boudoir session for October 12! Is anyone else doing a boudoir? Iâ€m really excited.

Morgan,

I have been cruising this website for 6 months, trying to come up with things to make our wedding 'unique', and thankfully I found some great ideas that I 'borrowed' from other brides. I knew I wanted pocketfold invites, so I ordered all of the card stock, already cut, with the silver matte including on the invite. I came up with some very simple wording for the invites, I will find it and post it later. I used the talents of my future father in law to do the printing, since he worked for Hewlett Packard, it was perfect! Then I just put a little shell stamp on the RSVP I bought at Michaels to spruce it all up. I found the monogram on cardsandpockets.com, they actually let you design your own!! it was so easy! and I think I got 100 for 20 dollars, but I just wished it was a bit more tropical, but I ordered it in turquoise to match the invites and it seems ok. I also ordered those bands to go around them, but I didnt know how to fasten them (Im a nurse, not a graphic designer!) so I made them so you can slide them off, and stuck everything together with doublesided tape I bought at staples. I spent around $280 for 65 invites, which would have cost me at least $5-$6/invite if  I had them ordered.

Your's look great! I like the design on them! I was able to include a menu on my RSVP after emailing the coordinator at the resort to confirm our restaurant. I included someplace in the travel card "Please remember that a passport is required for travelling to Jamaica" just in case anyone didn't realize it!

I am having the hardest time with finding paper for my programs/ menus!! Ugh!! I need a bright blue metallic and the closest thing I have found yet is Lagoon, which I luckily ordered samples of and it's way too green. I've tried all the paper sites and am so frustrated!

I also had really good correspondence going with some florists, but as soon as I asked for more specific quotes, silence ensued. I'm starting to feel the pressure to really get moving on things. How about you ladies??

Kimberli,

I've been dealing with Jodi from Tai Flora since June. So far, I have a bridal bouquet and bridesmaids organized, and I just emailed her yesterday about the centerpieces and boutonnieres. I asked about wrist corsages for our moms, and Im still waiting to hear back. It takes about a week to get a response, so it's a good think that I've started early on planning the decor!

I don't want to have to bring alot of stuff down there. I'm bringing paper lanterns to hang from the ceilings, and table runners. I don't think there is much else. I'm still debating on the table favours, I don't know what to do, or if we should even bother with them

Its going to be a bussy weekend for me, i'm printing and assembling my invitations. I also just ordered my lugage tags from amazon, my design your own travel mugs from oriental trading, and my hair flower from etsy! yay it feels like im finally getting somie planning done.

Does anyone know if you can get a titanium ring resized? my FI ordered his own ring and failed to tell me that he DID NOT get his ring finger sized. He told me, and i quote, "I just guessed that i would be a 9.75 it sounded like a good size." man is he driving me nuts!

I am sorry to say that, but you can't resize titanium rings. Try talking to jeweller and convince them to reorder it.Other than that, there is not much choice.

Good luck!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
