Special OOT bag for the Bride & Groom

Recommended Posts

I'm the MOH for one of my dearest friends next month. She is having a small DW in Niagara Falls (Canadian side) and will be honeymooning in the Toronto area. She and her FI will be giving out OOT bags at the welcome dinner. I thought it would be a cute idea to put together a special Bridal OOT bag for them. Some of the things I was thinking of including were:

Champagne

Chocolates

A tour book of Ontario

bubble bath

a book about marriage

a CD of love songs

So please let me know if you have any suggestions!!! Canadian girls, is there something distictively Canadian I should include?

I also need suggestions for "something blue". Her theme is butterflies so I was going to see if I could find a little blue butterfly pin to pin. Thanks Everybody!!!

Everytime I have been in a bridal party, I make a wedding day survival kit for the bride. I will look for it and tell you what is in it. Maybe that will help. They always love them, even if they don't need to use the stuff, they feel better knowing they have it.

this is the wedding day survival kit that Julie was talking about:

maybe try to include some of these-

Scissors

Needles and thread (in the colors of your bridal and attendant gowns)

Safety pins

Iron and ironing board (if none is available at church or ceremony site)

Makeup kit (for light touchups)

Hand mirror and makeup mirrors

Kleenex

Smock or towels to protect dresses from last-minute makeup touchups

Electric curlers and curling iron

Bobbie pins and combs to anchor veils and headpieces

Hair spray

Razor and shaving cream

Deodorant or antiperspirant

Dress shields

Extra nylons in the appropriate colors

Extra socks for groomsmen and ushers (someone is bound to forget)

Toys to keep flower girls and ring bearers busy in a quiet way

Smocks for flower girls and ring bearers to wear over their wedding attire until it's time for the photos or ceremony (kids will get dirty!)

Masking tape (for last-minute fix-up jobs on decorations)

Scotch tape for taping cards to gifts so they don't fall off

Lightweight wire (for last-minute repairs on decorations)

Super glue

Breath freshener

Aspirin

Smelling salts (just in case one of your attendants faints)

Refreshments (pop, ice tea, juice, everyone is bound to get thirsty)

Straws (never drink directly from a glass or can; you will undoubtedly spill)

A hand-held fan for those hot summer months

Karen, that's a good idea, you're sweet.

One of the things I got from my mom, that you might be able to include, is some charms to pin on the inside of my dress.

So maybe you could find like a lucky star or horseshoe, a butterfly, something blue, and something old of yours, and it could be her good luck and something old, new, etc.

Cute idea!

I got a cute black and white "Do not disturb/Just Married" Door hanger.

Scented candles.

One of those little kinky dice games.

Love cuffs!

Mints.

How about a romantic DVD (if they have a dvd player in their room. I know I wish I packed DVD's for our nights in).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
