Stressing out...

Recommended Posts

Seriously, get yourself healthy first. And please, if the brides are offering to help you, they mean it! There are so many things that can be prepared by one of us on the forum and then sent to you. All you need to do is tell them what it is you would like done. We have some very tallented folks here. Maybe make a list of some of the things that concern you and post it. Then, whoever is able to finish it up for you will help.

Please take care of yourself and let us help you.

Ah, it's so easy to get stressed, especially when it feels like everything is happening at once. I've been there. But try not to worry. I promise that towards the end, it so doesn't even matter what did and didn't get done. And once the big day is there, you don't even miss all those little details.

You do still have a decent amount of time. Like pp said, focus on getting yourself better first and deal with everything else when you can.

I'm sorry to hear you are sick... stress won't make it any better.

You do have time still and have alot of people willing to help. I don't live close by, but I can still help with whatever..let us know what you need to do still.

I think maybe all you Jersey/close to jersey girls should meet up. It would be a nice meeting! :)

First order of business: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!! Everything else will fall into place. How can a Jamaican wedding not be great? You are well distanced from the hurricane, so I really don't think you need to stress on that. And check out all these lovelies willing to help - BDW gals are da bomb!!!

Ladies thanks so much for all your offers of a helping hand!!! Your all the best!!! Being sick at any time is hard but being sick and trying to plan a wedding and get my older daughter set for going away to college is just so over whelming!! Chris and I went to rent his Tux today and we got the tropical shirts for the guys. So thats 1 thing scratched off the list and I decided I will shop for the girls dress's online so I dont have my 2 teens fighting over who likes what dress and who doesnt.(BIG, BIG problem that I have been having) I will just order them and tell them to wear it!! I also decided not to worry about ordering flowers now from an outside florist we will just get what they offer. I am leaning toward not getting a big beach welcome bag. Is that bad? I know its a nice offer and everything but for the stress its causing and money that I would be spending I am thinking its not worth it. If anyone has any ideas on a smaller gift I would appreciate it. This welcome bag is 1 of my biggest headaches. Worrying about getting them all there because we are flying Spirit we have to pay for each checked bag and I allready have 6 bags between chris and I and the kids. Spirit just started with having to pay for each checked bag. I also picked up the paper to print my welcome letters with a timeline of events. I am trying to cut down my to do list and go back to my dream of a relaxed laid back "NO PROBLEM MON" wedding. Now if I could just stop worrying about the hurricane.

you can totally skip the welcome bags. The other night I was laying in bed, couldn't sleep and had millions of wedding things going through my head and I kept thinking I really don't want to bring the OOT bags down. I've already bought everything and if I tell FI this he'll freak! But I really really don't want to have to worry about transporting everything, its such a PITA! Wish I had thought more about it sooner!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
