Wedding Present for your Husband-To-Be

Recommended Posts

Yeah, very pricey. I really want to do it but we have already decided I am going to do a pin up shoot for a particular milestone birthday shortly after the wedding... I cannot justify BD pics and the pinup shoot, so I will be DIYing the pics and ordering a photobook online.

I know I have seen some brides on this forum who have; if you search for it you should be able to find some. I also googled some tips, so that might help too. I hop mine turns out.... I won't be doing it for a while yet, but I have been creating a folder with some ideas for poses and stuff.

Yea its very hard to justify the price.  How can it cost so much to take a damn picture and give it to me?   angry.gif

My issue is that my mom is a photographer but doesn't do anything like this type of photography....no studio, back drop, props, lighting, etc.  So I could take countless pics for free but they wouldn't look anything like what I would get from a pro.  She took our engagement pics and I was not happy with most of them. :(  Had to let her know that this really isn't the right type of photos for her.  She does amazing sunset, floral, nature pics....just not very good with people.

Decisions decisions....  confused.gif

I bet if you looked up online in your area for BD photographers you will find that they have studios to go to... I am really considering renting a few hotel rooms throughout the next year and a half and having my MOH take the shots!!

Also how did you ladies manage to do it without him knowing?  Can you get them done outside of your house?

I paid 75$ to my photographer and 170 for studio for 3 hours. That was the most cost efficient way. Once I will get my pictures I will order an album. My FI had a glimpse of one of my pics today and was bugging for me to show it. I asked him to leave it alone... LOL But I think now he knows...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
