Need recommendation of resorts to wed in Montego Bay

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone:

My name is Tiffany and my fiance are planning a destination wedding in Jamaica next Sept 2011. We're planning a trip down to JA next month to visit a few resorts, however so far we only have one appt set up and that's with Rose Hall Resort & Spa. We're looking to have an intimiate wedding, all inclusive etc. My fiance was born and raised in Jamaica, so we really want our guests to have an awesome time (esp for those flying to JA for the first time.)

Can anyone offer any recommendations of hotels that we should get in contact with? I've emailed Iberostar and I'm still waiting for a reply. Any feedback is appreciated! Thank you.

We are getting married at the Grand Palladium Jamaica resort on May 6, 2011.  We have not yet seen the resort, and due to our tight budget we couldn't afford to visit Jamaica before the wedding.  I searched online for a long time reading reviews and looking at pictures of the various resorts in Jamaica.  The hardest part in making the decision was trying to not believe everything that I read.  I tried to remember that people are more likely to post bad review comments than good ones, and I tried to just pick the resort that I thought would best suit our guests and the wedding that we were envisioning.  The Grand Palladium looks beautiful, so I hope that everything works out.  Hope this helps!

Good luck planning!

I am staying at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay. (My wedding might be off site) but this resort is AI and is beautiful. The best part is they only do one wedding per day. Check them out there is a lot of info on this forum about it too! Good Luck!

I am getting married next month at Secrets Wild Orchid/St James in Montego Bay.  Also, do to our budget, we were not able to visit this resort or Jamaica prior to our trip in November.  If you remind me, I will give you a full report when we return in the middle of November.  The wedding coordinators are Monica & Lisa Marie and are very nice and helpful.  I would contact them to set up a meeting if you're looking for an ADULTS ONLY All inclusive.  They just opening in March 2010 so there is not too much info yet, but they do have a very active facebook fan page.  Looking forward to my trip next month.  Best of luck on your search!

Hi there- just wanted to say that we had a great experience with Rose Hall!  Fabulous resort for families, excellent food and drinks, very nice rooms--- all of our guests found it to be a great value.  The wedding/reception were a bit expensive (we got married at the aqueduct ruins and opted for a private reception in the courtyard of Cinnamon Hill golf course), but we were very pleased with everything!  Best of luck with your search!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
