My fiancee and I decided to go have our wedding at the Grand Paladium in Montego Bay, Jamaica next year in August. We went last year and thought it was georgous however, I'm having second thoughts about having my special day there. I'm concerned about the lack of service I've been hearing about in regards to the wedding itself. Has anyone had their wedding there?

Hey Chitown,

Also, confirmed wedding date in August at GP and am concerned.  Seems like there are a lot of hidden costs that keep coming up and also have reservations about possibility of being charged for using outside vendors.  Place is beautiful, but seriously having second thoughts.

Honestly... I have no nerves now.  They have a new staff that have been extremely helpful and quick to respond.

 

Also, I've come to realized that I'm having a destination wedding!!  I'm taking the island mantra of No Worries!!  I'm doing everything on my end and just keeping everything simple because... again I'm having a destination wedding!  The location is beautiful enough, not really that much to plan!  Many brides have had wonderful weddings there.  As long as you Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, I'm sure you're wedding will be wonderful as well!! :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
