Hola,

Welcome to the forum and above all, congratulations for your engagement!

Have you thought of the Riviera Maya? One of the best things about Riviera Maya is the fact that you can get everything you dream, and it goes from the simplest things, up to the most elaborated... I am certain that you would love it.

To check out various resorts, a good place to go is the hotel review section on tripadvisor.com and the venue reviews here.  TA will not offer many wedding reviews, but the list is probably more extensive and you can come back here to learn more about wedding experiences. I would suggest using both resources.

Your wedding is going to be full of magic and this website will help you a lot!

We wish you the best.

Happy planning.

Congrats!    welcome to the forum!

Moon Palace = wedding factory.

Dreams not as much... NOW / JADE coolio too.

Pros... there are several dreams and Now's...

Cons.... Moon palace is a wedding factory and not as intimate... i dunno, something about seeing 4 or 5 brides on the same day you get married that makes it not click for me...hey, but that is my opinion and you know what they say about opinions....
ha ha ha..

Do some more research here, ask questions and don't officially turn off other suggestions....  Lots to choose from in the Riviera Maya.

Personally, the more boutique resorts will likely give you more satisfaction!

I like:
Ceiba del mar

Le Reve

Al Cielo  small place but....your guests can stay in so many places...

good luck :)

Welcome to the Forum! You will find everything you will ever need to plan your wedding here and everyone is so friendly!!! I don't know much about those resorts but since I am getting married at Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana I have done a lot of research on the Dreams resorts and all the brides have nothing but good things to say!

Congrats and welcome to the forum!!!

I'm looking into the NOW resorts right now (Sapphire or Jade), so if you have questions I might be able to help. I like that they try to keep it to 1 wedding per day if possible (and no more than 2 max) as they want to cater to the couple as much as possible.

There are forum threads for each of the three you have mentioned. I would say do some research, decide what you want out of a DW and prioritize that list, set a rough BUDGET!, and look at what the wedding packages include to see if they fit that need. There are lots and lots of other resorts out there, too, in case those three don't work for you.

Good luck!! It's tough picking a location.. I'm still stuck on that decision!!! cheesy.gif

Oh, I would also suggest you get an idea of what it might cost for your guests if you plan on having any. That was a factor for us -- we wanted it to be in an affordable yet nice resort since it is asking a lot out of our family and friends to spend the money to travel and celebrate with us!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
