Hey Ladies,

This is my first post, but I've been lurking around and getting ideas for a while.  I'm having a bit of a crisis right now.  We have a TA who has been getting everyone booked, and we're four nights away from getting 75 nights, which means we get our week free with unlimited events.  Well, we were waiting for my fiance's friend to book and we just found out that when he went to our website, I guess the link went down the other day, so he just booked five nights through Priceline.  He just told my fiance about an hour ago, and now I can't sleep.  Can our travel agent get him added to our group or are we SOL.  Thanks for any help!

Ugh I can't help but I am in pretty much the exact same situation so I know how you feel! People just don't realize how crucial it is that they book with your group!!! I've been so anxious and losing a lot of sleep myself these last few days, trying to sort things out before our group booking closes at the end of this week. Is there any way your friend could get a refund through Priceline and rebook with your TA? Even if you had to pay a cancellation fee it sounds like it might be worth it for you!

Good luck, sorry to hear you are going through this - so frustrating and stressful sad.gif

I feel you.  We just found out yesterday that the resort won't count him.  My fiance is talking to him today during football games about canceling and booking with the TA.  He thinks he can convince him easily enough if they've been drinking and OU wins.

As frustrating as it is, you can't expect everyone to book with your TA...especially if they can get a better deal elsewhere! I had people book with & without my TA...and I came VERY close to losing our free trip (that we gave to DHs sis because she couldn't afford to go!) But honestly, what seems like such a big deal will not be after the fact....when all is said & done, you will just be so happy that they could make it you will not be so concerned with missing out on that free week. I'm sure you didn't budget for that free week, so really you are not out money. As much as it would be nice to get the free stuff...in the end it's having people there who care about you that is really important. I hope you don't lose too much sleep over this - and maybe you will be lucky enough that someone else will come along & book so that you do get that free week. But if not, you will still be a beautiful bride marrying the man of your dreams!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
