Bridesmaid or not???

she asked you...weird, I would say that you have decided to only have one person stand up for each of you and those people were already chosen. Use the "dw's are small and it would look weird to have a large wedding party"

I agree that it is YOUR day, I would not have anyone in my wedding that I am not close with. Explain to her that you're keeping it small. If you want to stay on your family's good side, use the excuse that obviously she'd be in your wedding party if you were getting married at home, but because of the location, it's not possible.

That is a delicate situation but why does she really want to be up there with you if you are not close with each other? Is it to be in the pictures as much as possible? Is it to get some extra attention? Or is it to just help you out during the preperations and be the best bridesmaid ever? You never know!!!

You're right, it's just because she needs all the attention and she will throw herself in front of the camera... I'm not kidding! She does't want to help, believe me!!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, my cousin has TOLD me that she's standing up in my wedding. Mind you that she lives accross the country and I only talk to her approximatly once a year and that's when I finally get ahold of her to wish my godson a happy birthday. But, she tells me that she's a size two so will make a wonderful addition to my bridal party. Ummm... yeah, I really don't care what size you are!

Then choose one person only, like a sister or best friend, i think your family will see you would not shoose her over someone closer to you.

Exactly what I thought!!! Geez...what is it with people needing attention!!!??

I can't stand it! Anyway...I agree with everyone else. Just either don't have anyone or ask your BF. I have come to realize that the sides don't have to match. Also, does your FI actually want his friend to stand next to him?? I mean he can still be the "best man" and do all the duties and be recognized maybe even help usher guest to their seat ect...but then just sit in the front so that it's just you two up there??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
