Send me a pm with an email address for you and we'll get started.  Again, I'm not a professional but I have failed at every diet known to man and woman in my 20's and then, I figured out the secret to success which is that it's really no secret at all.  I have spent the past three years with a trainer.  She'd love to know that I've passed all her secrets on.

All you need is the motivation and I am sure it will happen.  I'm 5 foot 4 inches and weigh about 120-123.  I do not believe in restricting any food group.  Balance is the key.  I also do not believe in being hungry.  It's all about the choices.  I'll need you to do me a favor.  Take an honest look at what you eat through the run of a day.  In fact, write down everything you ate yesterday or today.  I mean everything.  I'll get you set up with on online calculator to get a handle on your calories.  You'd be suprised how many calories we tend to sneak in during a day.  Amounting to hundreds.  Also put your mind around what you do for exercise if any, and then what you'd be willing to do.  There is no sense in me telling you to follow my schedule as our demands are all different.  Can you do that?  Give me as much info about your activity level, food intake, sleep and water intake.

You'll need a scale and a tape measure.  Those two items will tell you everything you need to know.

Ginger, thanks for the information, I am struggling trying to lose my last 5 pounds. I work out also 3 to 4 days week lifting weights and cardio and I eat healty. My problem is consistency.. during the week im good and then on the weekends I drink and eat not so healthy. My wedding is in November and I just want to lose 5 more pounds. I am having a hard time understanding what I should eat for those "other" 3 meals a day. I am also going to PM for any advice you can give.

Hi ladies,

I typed you both emails tonight and both times I was told that I was denied access and my emails didn't go through.  Then I was prompted to log in.  I was logged in or else I wouldn't have been able to get to my emails.  I'm really sorry but I have to log off for the night but tomorrow when I get a few minutes I'll answer everyone who sent me a pm.  So sorry.  That's really frustrating as those emails were a couple a paragraphs long.

If anyone is moderating tonight, maybe have a look or something.

  • 4 weeks later...

Thanks ladies, some helpful info.

Just went on my-calorie-counter.com Thanks Ginger.

My wedding is 16th December, i'm 5.4 and 130lbs, i want to get back to 110 which is what i used to be. I'm on my third week of 6 x a week gym and lost 3lbs, which i'm pleased about as my eating habits did not change. I think I am now ready to lower the kcal intake to lose my 2-3lbs a week and I should be fine. I just have to be super careful when we get to Jamaica as we arrive on the 11th, wedding is 16th, all that lovely food! cheesy.gif

Oh my God Beth, this sounds horrible! Your entire caloric intake for each day is made up of only 2 tbsp of maple syrup...what is that, like 50 calories? Do you eat at all in the 10 days?? I cannot even fathom how this is humanly possible without early organ failure (I'm kidding...but barely). I'm not a dietician but I don't think any nutritional or medical background is needed to realize that this is seriously unhealthy. Really, you should stop this. I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude but I'm appalled and concerned about the potential side-effects of this for you.

- Drink a senna (laxative) tea every evening, including the evening before you start.

- Drink 6-12 lemonade drinks everyday (Recipes is 2 tbsp fresh squeezed organic lemons or limes, 2 tbsp organic grade B maple syrup, 1/10 tsp cayenne pepper and 8 ounces of water) & lots of water!

- A salt water flush every morning (1 litre of salt water mixed with 2 tsp of non iodized sea salt)

I'll let you know how it goes for me. I have not been doing the salt water flush (I've replaced it with another cup of the laxative tea).

I started the morning of day 1 at 131.6 pounds (I am 5'3).

Day 2- 128.2 lbs

Day 2 & 3 are supposed to be the hardest but so far so good. I'll update at the end to give a detail of the process. I am getting married Nov 27th so am using this as a jump start to super healthy eating before I leave for Cancun (leaving Nov 19th)!

Hi ladies two of my friends did the Lemonade Diet, they loved it, though they did say anything in excess of a week or two is bordering on dangerous. For those interested there is a cleansing/detox program done through www.coolercleanse.com a friend of mine who models put me on to it because alot of people in the industry modeling and acting use it and it has amazing results. Selma Hayek became their spokes person after losing all her baby weight in like 4 weeks. I personally haven't used it but just thought I would post it for those interested. Caution though it is a bit pricey. Good luck ladies!

Keep in mind that you will lose serious muscle mass doing these flushes and cleanses.  They are not healthy.  Your scale weight may go down but you will not be losing much in the line of fat.  Water, and hard earned and very hard to build muscle.  Now I'm going to zip it.

Camlovesja - that is great work.  Keep it up and you'll be down that weight before you know it.  That's the way to do it.  Slow and steady wins the race every time.

Hello Ladies,

It's been about 1 month since I started eating clean. When I say clean I mean lots of fruit, vegetables, salad and organic foods. I cut out all red meat and pork. I've just been consuming fish, chicken, and salmon. I also started the Insanity workout video and since then have dropped 6lbs. I feel great and am so excited!! I have 14lbs more to go.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
