Here are a couple sites I have found with pictures from a wedding on this ship. I think they are from a few years ago but it's still a starting place and an idea. I don't know if these are the professional photos or just some that the families took. Enjoy!!!

Hi, CMHoward :)

Looks like I'll be getting off the ship just before you board! I'm getting married on the Fantasy and cruising from Aug 8-13. I agree that the expense is a BARGAIN especially since you don't have to deal with various vendors and making sure everything is set up right. I have been trying to figure out what to do about bridesmaid bouquets, too, since I have 8 bridesmaids and the bouquets through the cruise wedding planner are expensive (especially since they will only be used for the ceremony). Any suggestions you have for putting together bridesmaid bouquets (or tips from your crafty friends) are appreciated!!! I would love to be able to put my own bouquets together but I need some direction/inspiration.

Oh! That's great! Please do take lots of pics and scout out good places for photos :) It will be helpful to find out, if you can, which locations they typically use for the weddings/receptions. Also, if you see any good restaurants nearby in Charleston, please let me know. I will probably have a Bon Voyage party the night before we cruise since most everyone is staying overnight.

I'd also love to know if there's a good hair and makeup person nearby in Charleston.

If you can find out if the cabin doors are magnetic, that will be great, too. We are wondering if we should bring magnetic signs for the doors or if we should just use tape.

Hope you have a great time!

Does anyone know of any photographers in Freeport or Nassau who would be willing to meet us somewhere and take pictures once we port? I'd love to get some professional pictures in the Bahamas in addition to the pictures we will have taken on the ship (which I heard were not always so good).

I am so excited to hear that others are going the same route!!!  I am getting married on the Carnival Fantasy in the Key West port.  I have not been on here before and was excited to see others having the same feelings as myself.  :)  My wedding is booked for February 27, 2012, so hopefully i can get the benefit or your experiences when it gets closer to my big day.  Good Luck to all of you!!

Hello Ladies! I was searching results for Carnival Fantasy weddings and ran across your post so I joined. I haven't been able to find anything on this. I'm so glad you started this thread. I live here near Charleston and am thinking of doing my wedding in October aboard the Carnival Fantasy. The reason I keep shying away from it is that I read on the Carnival website that the maximum number of guests is 50 and we have a rather large family so all friends would pretty much be left out. I see where yall have more guests listed. Can anyone give me some insight on this? I will def. choose this option if I can have more guests! No clean up for me!!

As far as places to eat in Charleston, just about everything is fantastic. Tell me what you are looking for and I can give some ideas. There are also lots of bars in the downtown area. They get really packed with college kids so beware of that if you don't want to be too crowded. Stella Nova is a wonderful salon for hair. It is pretty pricey but the best place around!

I'm so glad to find this! Ive been looking for anything about Carnival Fantasy weddings and its hard to come by!!!! I have been looking into having my wedding aboard Carnival Fantasy in October. The only thing making me hesitant is that from what I have read on the Carnival website, you are only allowed a maximum of 50 people total. I see where some of you are having more than that. Is it a misprint or something? I don't mind paying the extra $ for more people if they are allowed.

Also, I am from the area. Stella Nova is a very very good salon in the downtown area and there is great food everywhere. The bars get crowded on weekend nights due to the colleges so be cautious of that. Walking through the market downtown or taking a horse carriage ride is nice and right at the port!

Any information that can be given on weddings aboard the Fantasy will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
