Le Blanc policy on bringing outside photographer

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am planning a wedding in december at Le blanc, anyone had a wedding there?  If so, what's their policy like?  I am trying to contact the resort but takes forever to hear back from them.  Thanks a bunch!!  Also any good makeup and hair recommendation?

Le Blanc had no problem when we showed up for this May 2010 wedding.   http://delsolphotography.com/blog/post-736/Trish-Suhr-Dave-McCoul-Wedding-Photos-by-Sol-Tamargo-and-Vincent

This event was filmed by Style TV network and is still on TV in many countries....   I think there is an outside vendor fee, for sure likely to pay in most cases.  Palace has a big "no outside vendors" policy, however out of the dozen of personal experiences with palace resorts the client has done a few things:

1.  Purchase daypasses (most of the time, this works).

2.  Purchase rooms (several times in Moon Palace).

Good luck!

I am getting married at Le Blanc in May 2011.  So good to see someone else getting married there!! We are VERY few!

I had a hard time contacting Le Blanc when I first started planning.  After several attempts at contacting them through their website, I ended up calling them.  Turns out they never got my information from their website which is why they never contacted me.  I would call them if you don't hear back from them in a day or two.  If you end up having to call them, let them know that you attempted to contact them through their website.

Good Luck and Welcome!!

Thanks Pazzesca!  I just called Le blanc after I never received any reply from them, the date I initially requested is closed now :(, now I have to rearrange everything!  Also they do not allow outside photographer, from the girl I spoke with, they just signed a contract with Kodak about two weeks ago she said.   :(

Ok, I called the resort directly and Sandra(very nice and helpful) from the wedding department said she will make an exception for me to bring outside photographer which I have to pay for day pass which is ok, but why Miami office is so strict?  I am kind of disappointed, Sandra is going to confirm back to me on details, keeping my fingers crossed....

i found that the miami office and the resort were telling me two different things as well.  i decided to just use one of the resort vendors for photography just so i wouldn't stress about whether or not they would allow it.

when you receive your contract make sure you really really read it.  they had the dates and years wrong on mine and i made them change teh number of guests from 25 or whatever it was to 32 which was supposed to be what it should have said since i am paying for the signature package. make sure everything you want is in your contract.

good luck and let us know how everything progresses.

i'm so excited to see another Le Blanc Bride!

Hey girls!!!  I got married at Le Blanc in August and had about 50 guests!  I PROMISE I will be posting a review soon...just been so busy.  If you guys will make a list of questions, I will be glad to answer them.  The resort is AMAZING and they will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to accomodate you, so don't worry if the miami office is giving you conflicting answers.  You will get an on-site wedding planning (Diana) who is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS about 2-3 months before the wedding.  You will do 99% of your planning at that time.  Let me know how I can help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
