We're writing a longer review which I'll post in the review section (with a link here of course msnwink.gif), but I wanted to very quickly tell you not to worry a wink and ENJOY IT ALL!!! You will not be disappointed.

P.S. I didn't buy a typical destination wedding dress either and it was perfect!! You look stunning in your picture! :-)

I am definitely trying to squeeze in some relaxation but with a little over a week until we leave we are on serious time crunch to get things done now :) but even if its a few hours or a long(er) bath then i am def squeezing that in, i dont want to burn out and end up sick on the trip :)

I too am SOOOOO excited, there are no words!

Janet, making lists always help me feel less anxious.  But taking some time to relax and turn off the to do list that is constantly running through your head is also advised, dont burn yourself out.  And enjoy the ride!!!  EEEE I am so excited for you!

Hey girls, I have another question about hair! I am still looking for another option other than the ppc salon since I'm pretty disappointed in the 100 per person price tag. I had originally planned to pay for my 3 BMs and the moms to get their hair done, but that's another 600 plus dollars if I do so at ppc. I like that they come to the bridal suite and they offer a champagne bruch for another 250, which is a lovely idea, but pretty pricy IMO! For Janet, miss sunshyne and jkweddingday: did you book the resort salon? I would love to hear your feedback when you get back on their services. I'm wondering whether contacting a local salon is a better option. Did any of you go this route? If you do venture off the resort and notice a salon in punta Cana, would you take note of it for me? My searches haven't come up with much. Thanks!!

Hi,

I originally was going to venture off the resort and go to a salon or bring a haridresser to the resort. I got a name from Miss Sunshyne....i'm sure she can give you the contact info as well. But it turns out my BM's want to do their own hair (one of them is really good with hair so she will do her own and my other BM's) she didnt want to brave mine though LOL and so it was just me and my mom. So i figured it was just easier to pay a bit more and stay on the resort. So i have booked my hair trial for the monday and then wedding hair day of. Depending on the package you book with the resort your hair should be included i beleive, you should look into that. I will let you know how it goes and of course you will see pics when i get back :) leaving in a week today!

Good idea, Janet! Just as a suggestion, if you have a hairstyle in mind you may want to bring pics out of a magazine, online or a pic you have of yourself already with the hairstyle. That's just my two cents after having mine done at the spa at my resort. I was happy with how it turned out but in hindsight I wish I would have brought a visual so I could have relaxed a bit more about it!

SO CLOSE!!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
