Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

I'm so glad that your wedding turned out so amazing!!! Just wondering if you used Arrecife studio as your photographer...and if you did, what did you think of them? I'm debating on whether to use them or use a different photographer...any input would help!  Thanks :)

A few random questions for those who have been to the PPC:

1. Do they have hair dryers in the rooms?

2. Do you need a converter for the outlets? (in order to use straightners, hair dryers, etc.)

3. Does snorkling include any additional fee? A bunch of my family would like to go, and don't know if they should bring their own equipment, or if that is already included in the all-inclusive price?

thank you guys!!

Hi Jenna,

They do have hair dryers in the room, but they are pretty weak, I was glad I brought my own.

No converter needed for outlets, everything works fine, I charged I think every electronic device I own down there.

I believe it's free, you just need to sign up . I am not 100% positive cause all we did was lay on the beach.

Hope this helps!

Well.. I made it to PPC and I'm sooo happy I chose this resort for our wedding! I was here last year and fell in love with it but I forgot how gorgeous it is here until I saw it all again. Today I had my Welcome Cocktail party, we had it at 6 pm until 7:30 pm. We had it outdoors at the Nova Garden which was a last minute change, and while I was not happy at first about having it there ow I'm glad I did. It was the perfect place for those guests that weren't yet familiar with the property, since it's an easy and visible space. Its right by the lobby, across the gym. Tmrw is my rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which will be held at the Romance Foyer (my ceremony is @ the beach gazebo but they have a wedding there tmrw so it's unavailable) and for rehearsal dinner it'll be at Vento restaurant in the Reserve. Again, a last minute change as it was supposed to be at El Romantico but I was told last wk the Romantico would be closed for construction. When they offered Vento as a replacement I was thrilled because the food there is so good! But the funny thing is, today I walked by El Romantico and it looked like it was open and fully operational. Oh well. I'm not complaining about Vento. Lol!

Maridr! So happy for you- it will be great!! Sounds like it's all working out well....

CDC150, do they also have irons? My fiance was just going to pack his linen shirts and pants but I'm sure they will be a wrinkle nightmare once we get down there!

thank you for the feedback- very helpful! :)

They do have irons in the closet.

My husband carried on his linen suit/shirt and hung it right away.  It stayed pretty neat, but I also had the dry cleaners press everything before we left.  If you do iron, put a damp white towel over the iron, in case the iron is dirty.

Yeah Maridr! I'm so happy for you.  By this time....you must be married.

Quick question - with the rehearsal dinner, did you have to pay additional? Or did you just book a restaurant and go from there?  My wedding has sky rocketed so I would love to have a rehearsal party...but obviousely I wanted it included in that all inclusive price!

Please send pictures!! I can't wait to see how beautiful everything was.

Hey ladies,

I have a confirmed date of November 19, 2013 but I still need to confirm my wedding ceremony time. I originally wanted 3pm but I think I want it for 4 or 5pm so we can have pictures at sunset. Also, i hope that it won't be so hot later in the day...what do you girls suggest?

Hi Sexy Cubana!

We decided to get married at 4pm in January based on the photographers recommendations for the best lighting.  He explained to us that if the sun is too high overhead it creates a lot of shadows which isn't flattering for anyone.  Sunset in late January is about 620p.

The other thing to consider is the later in the day the less people on the beach gawking!!

Not sure what the weather is like in November but when we did our site visit in September it was brutally hot in the middle of the day.

Have you decided to go with the resort photographer?  I was just ask them if pictures are your biggest concern.  They know best.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
