Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

MARIDR: I honestly don't know how 60 people would be able to fit at the gazebo, it isn't that much space for chairs?? I had 77 people and no way everyone could of fit.

I luckily never had to deal with the Miami office. I dealt with Theresa and then when they let her go I dealt directly with Miguelina! She was very responsive on any questions I had. I absolutely had so worries on my wedding day! I do not think you need to hire Theresa at all, I promise they will take care of everything for you!

When I was there in December I met with Miguelina and she's really sweet and is very knowledgeable.  I also am going to reach out to her for answers on  some of my questions - it seems like she readily has answers available and doesnt try to upcharge every.single.thing.

Yes RSE did everything for us. They actually surprised us with the fireworks on our first dance and they even extended our reception about an hr because we got started late. They were so much fun and full of energy, you have absolutely NOTHING to worry about with them. We sent them a list that they could use and they used our list and added other songs. They were AWESOME!! I highly recommend RSE as a DJ!!!

I'm about 2 months away from my wedding...Yay!!

Hey Ladies,

I have an update to share and I'm quite happy!

Given all the locations that they would provide, I decided to seek out my own setting. If you check out the picture I attached, you can see a sandy area of the beach that looks secluded right beside of the gazebo. I've planned to have the gazebo ceremony with all guests seated in the grass area (nobody inside of the fence area of the gazebo) and I will have the sandy area directly beside the gazebo for the cocktail hour.... this way I think I can kinda get both of what I want- the sand and the gazebo- just reversed order than what I thought I would have, haha.

Simplensweet:

I can't see your photo :(  Bummer!  Is there another way to load it?

And for anyone who is interested I just figured out it was cheaper to book transportation to and from the airport through the hotel directly and not through the Miami office.  And unlike the Miami offices transportation, this one is actually PRIVATE (the other drops people off at other hotels)

Prices below are total, not per person.

PRIVATE ROUND TRIP RATES

PUJ -HOTEL      US$.45.00 EACH WAY, FROM 1 TO 6 PERSONS.

PUJ -HOTEL      US$.89.00 EACH WAY, FROM 7 TO 10 PERSONS.

PUJ -HOTEL      US$.133.00 EACH WAY, FROM 10 TO 22 PERSONS.

SimplenSweet,

That photo of the ceremony in back of the gazebo is beautiful but there are only 4 rows of 4 chairs, I think. As far as I remember, the ground slopes down where the photographer taking that shot was standing. Also, the pathway where the trolleys pass is behind that. How many guests do you have?

We used that spot where the chairs are in the photo to line up the wedding party and walk through the Gazebo onto the beach.

We did have the cocktails on the side portion like in the other photo, that was beautiful. By the way, the food was delicious!

Hi Lamazz!

I have 50 guests total... do you think they will all fit in the gazebo location? I've seen some other photos and it looks like a lot of guests are squeezed in there, haha! I guess our parents/grandparents can sit inside the gazebo IF NECESSARY but boy would my fiance be steamed ;)

they are letting me use the sandy area for the cocktail, or I could just use the beach out front. My fiance is more concerned about privacy during the ceremony (since it is at 12pm- the busy part of the day!) and is less worried about the privacy during cocktail hour. I think the gazebo is the way to go during the busyness of the day?

What apps did you all choose? I am going with the smoked salmon, deviled eggs, cheese pies, avocado and shrimps, and nachos and guac. I am only doing the ceremony and cocktail at the PPC as I'm taking my guests on La Barcaza as a surprise for the reception dinner!

I am so excitedd to get down there and just do everything haha... enough with this waiting around stuff! ;)

SimplenSweet,

I'm sure that Miguelina would not let you plan for 50 guests at the Gazebo if they wouldn't fit.

The side of the Gazebo is where the cocktail hour was set up for my daughters wedding. I think they had the salmon, and the avocado and shrimp ( which was amazing, and was pretty much gone by the time the bridal party returned from taking the pictures) and I think a tuna one also. They had the Chill Out so only got 3 cold appetizers. The reception was up the beach at the Gabi Club so no one went hungry!

I know its getting real close for you, and I wish you a wedding as wonderful as my daughter and son-in-law's. There are always little glitches and problems, but the weddings there are so beautiful and well-managed by the Romance staff that you will forget everything except how beautiful it all is !

Hi Lamazz, thanks again for your feedback and encouragement. I am truly looking forward to just going and doing the whole thing! I guess I can only plan but so much- honestly the day of the wedding and everything set up is I think more for my guests than for myself- I will just be on cloud 9 so anything that happens will be okay with me- just oblivious! haha :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
