If any of you are still looking for or considering videography....i HIGHLY HIGHLY recomend Video Punta Cana!!! Florian is fantastic. 2 days after my wedding he already put together a preview/trailer and before we left the resort to come home he met us with our DVD's and all the footage!!! and he is very affordable. Thank you! definietly one of my best investments in my wedding. i highly recommend it. The actual wedding video is about 60 minutes long and sooooo amazing. plus we have all the footage from the day on DVD as well :) I would cut corners in my wedding to make sure i had video! great memories IMO

I was wondering if you all received your contracts back signed back from the resort? I read some where that they do not sign they're contracts and was hoping to get feed back from you.

 

I'm currently having some major issues with the Miami office and I feel super stressed out, so I apologize for the constant questions! :(

They never returned a signed contract back. They just ask you to sign to accept their terms. I argued it when i originally booked and got no where. just make sure you keep and if you can print all correspondence Have you contacted Miguelina?

I dont mind at all...ask away :) What better way to get  feedback then from a bride married at the same resort you will be married :) Thank you for the compliment on the video. We love it and are super happy with it. Its a great teaser to the full length video which turned out amazing as well :) your questions in blue and my answers in black

The resort contracted the DJ for me - they were great and they added in these firework things for our first dance which was a surprise because we never asked for any of that. It was a nice touch. They had great lighting and the MC was great and spoke great English.

No dancefloor, and honestly, you really dont need it. It would be a waste of money especially what they charge. The dancefloor area is flat and dry and works really well.

 

Did you get your make-up and hair done by the spa??

I got my hair done at YHI spa on the resort. The person that did my hair was Yinette. She was a real sweetheart and did an amazing job. I walked in with pictures which she matched really well but then she made the recommendation for my hair do and i fell in love. I never even considered anything like it. I had done the hair trial with her the day before.

My make up was done by one of my friends that was on the trip with us. She is my photogs girlfriend and happens to be a make up artist so that worked out for me. The Spa did my moms make up though (since it was included in my package, i gave it to my mom) and they did a beautiful job. Bring pictures of hair and make up!

 

Where did you get your bridesmaid dress??

I bought them in a local store here in Ottawa however the designer is Impressions Bridal so you can probably check online or in a local bridal shop near you. Great quality and the color was exactly what i wanted.

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
