Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

Recommended Posts

Hey Holly,

I was told hair is $95+ and makeup is about the same. One girl I spoke to said she was charged $110 each.   I am paying for my girls hair, mine is free with the Aqua package, and they can do their makeup or pay for it if they choose. I am also paying for their jewelry... with 5 girls its going to be pricey but they are spending so much on travel, dress, my shower I figured it was the least I could do.  :)

There is actually no pricing for bridal hair so I have emailed Theresa to ask.  Has anyone used the salon at PPC?  Did you like the results? I am definitely getting my hair in an updo of some sort, and possibly my bridesmaids too.  One of my BMs is very talented at make-up and has offered to do the bridal party, but it would be nice if she could relax....so if it is not so expensive, maybe it will be my treat?

Thanks!

Holly

Thanks Cort!

Hmmm. 95 each eh... I am thinking I might see if I can get some info (perhaps from my photographer?) on some off site hair salons. Or perhaps there is a thread on here somewhere about salons in punta cana. I betcha there is!! Off to search!

I would love to pay for my girls hair but $500 bucks seems outrageous.  Especially since 2 of them have short hair.... so maybe they will want to do their own? hmm.

I like in TX and I have Theresa. I think it depends who is available at the time you book.

Theresa I'm assuming helps out the brides from Canada, but you can actually reach out to the romance department at Paradisus, they're great!, it make take some time to get back to you at times but they have been a pleasure working with, Jennifer and Miguelina are in charge at the moment, and answer all pricing questions, menu, decorations, entertainment etc, they will send you numerous attachments and links to their pictures. I would reach out to them better, hope this helps.

Hey folks,

Hope the wedding planning is rolling along well for all of you! I have a photographer question -- I've read mixed reviews of Arrecife Studio (the PPC recommended studio) on this forum and was planning to give them a shot anyway, but they've been pretty non-responsive by email and I'm considering other options. I was also in touch with Katya Nova, who does brilliant work and is very responsive but is a little pricey for us.

What other options have you guys explored? Any leads, websites, or success stories would be hugely appreciated!

My issue with the resort photog was that they charge a fortune for minimal photos. So your other photog may be a little pricier but you will probably get more bang for your buck. We decided to bring a photog with us and i'm happy with that choice as i want as many pics as possible

I agree Janet! The photos are SO important! We still stare at our Del Sol photos hanging on large canvases throughout our house :)

Has anyone received any menus options?  My ninety days are up and I have not received a call or much info after my package was paid and rooms booked!!

We decided to book HDC.  We also looked at Katya, but though her work is gorgeous, shes not in our price range.

HDC has been super responsive, flexible, and has a great range of packages.  They have also done a tonne of weddings, and get great reviews on BDW.  I suggest searching around for the punta cana photogs thread and then compare their portfolios and their prices.  Thats what we did and we are happy with our choice!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
