Hi sorry I haven't been on here in a while. Things have been crazy! We are having a 5pm Symbolic Wedding on August 11, 2012 :)

We hired HDC for videography or photographer!

We are having probably about 50 people. Teresa said those packages are wonderful for people with smaller groups, but with ours being so big she said La Carte will def be a lot cheaper.

I also don't think that includes the Aisle runner.

Hi Guys,

I'm just going to hope an aisle runner is included and will double-check when I arrive. I'd rather work with them on-site then via email if it's not.

I do have a couple questions for those of you who have stayed at PPC--first, do the buildings have elevators? We have some folks coming who can't handle stairs very well, so I wasn't sure whether I needed to request first floor rooms or if they all have elevators.

Secondly, are there any buildings you would recommend (or not recommend) staying in?

Thanks!

Hey ladies,

havent been in here in awhile.  We just confirmed our photographer and decided to go with HDC for both the wedding day and a Trash the Dress the next week (at the Hard Rock where we are staying for our honeymoon).  Arnaud was a pleasure to work with, and very fast to respond to email and answer any and all questions!  HDC comes highly recommended here on BDW, but also from some people that we know who used HDC this past August.  Even though it POURED rain in the middle of their ceremony, Arnaud was still able to capture some great shots and the essence of thier happy day. (although everyone was soaked, I sure hope it doesnt rain on our day...)

We also went with A la carte for the beach ceremony at 3pm.  Then we are having our reception on La Barcaza from 5-8 and back to the nightclub at Paradisus afterwards.

Speaking of the nightclub. Does anyone know what its called at PPC?  I wonder how big it is and if we are just going to take it over! lol.

The club is called the "Red Lounge" it's actually the Restaurant "Fuego" in the day time, very nice!! and it has like 6 cabanas inside making it very exclusive and posh, the dance floor is circular and fits like 30 people, it's very decent. not everyone goes, good spot for you and your guests, that's where we're going to end up after our reception is over.

Hi Ladies!!!

Congrats to you all!

I'm new to this website, and just started my wedding planning. I have yet to give a deposit anywhere, but I am really liking PPC. However, I'm VERY nervous about planning a destination wedding.

I've already received information from Lauren Harder, the Romance Planner.

I wanted to get some type of feed back from anyone that has been dealing/ or dealt with her. Like I said I'm very nervous about this whole planning process and want to make sure that I pick a resort in which the planner will be helpful.

Thank you in advanced!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
