Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

I'm not sure how many of us this applies to, but I just found out about the ENTICE Me rates through PPC for special dates in 2011 (Jan 4 - Feb 28, Sept 1 - Oct 31, Dec 1 - 22). Basically, there's a discount of several hundred dollars (or $1,000 for Aqua). It's worth checking out, and you can find more in the Weddings section of the web site (navigate to the appropriate package page and scroll down).

Our date is Oct 1, so we were able to secure the reduced rate for the Chill Out Chic package. I just wanted to pass along the info in case others hadn't stumbled upon the same information yet!

T minus 9 months (or there abouts cheesy.gif) until our big day!!! Still quite a bit of time, but we're getting more and more excited!!!! I look forward to seeing some pictures from recent weddings there (hint, hint msnwink.gif)!

Ninassasso,

The cost for an outside photographer for the day is $120.  I don't believe the arch is decorated.  I am getting married Jan. 31 and have opted for the Chill Out Chic package.  We are getting married at the Gazebo and had to pay for flowers to decorate it.  We are still thinking about having veils to decorate because they cost an extra $200  and the flowers already cost $160 for each arrangement.  The wedding coordinator from the romance team would be best to talk to about the arch decorations though.  I hope I have helped.  Happy wedding planning :)

Hi Everyone,

I just read the entire your correspondance and WOW...I am just starting to plan my wedding. I have not chose PPC yet, but I was considering PPR. Brides who went to PPC who was the resort?

Also I am considering Majestic resorts; however, I am afraid that they will be expensive for guests to travel. And I am considering Iberostar Bavaro only because it will be cheaper. Any advise about the resort choice?

I would like to thank you all for sharing the details of your weddings and information, because today I received all basic information from Theresa and I got scared that it will be expensive, but I can see where the cost can be cut down.

Another thing that makes nervous is amount of guests. We are planning to have between 80-100 guests, which is a lot, but my fiances wants invite everyone. I can see that extra cost are going to kill me hahaha

Is there such thing as a free wedding package these days or it's all llimited? I am sure everyone did your research...

Last question, what made you to choose PPC instead any other hotel that you could of have your wedding at?

Thank you...

You have, thanks.. Especially about the prices... Seems that every little thing costs extra and they put you in such a position that you cant have an undecorated arch or a table without a centerpiece, etc as nothing is included in my package ...Best of luck with ur wedding!!!! Let me know how it all goes!!!

Hey ladies,

I am recently engaged and want to book at PPC.  We are planning for May of 2012.  Reading your conversations have helped me tremendously on making the decision to go with PPC.  Just wondering when you need to start the planning process.  I went to a travel agent and she has not gotten back to me yet.  Is it too early yet to begin plans???

Please let me know...

Thanks

Jill

I don't think it's too early to start planning!  I am getting married May 2011 and I started planning Feb 2010 right after I got engaged.  It may be a little early to plan the flights and accomodation but you can never have too much time to make sure everything works out in the end!  I am glad that I started early, now that there are only 4 months left I feel on top of the ball and I am not stressing out...yet! LOL.  Let me know if you need any help!  Happy planning! :)

Hi Jill,

In wedding days it's not early to start planning. However, you will not able to book flights or find out prices for travel packages. I had the same problem. I got engaged in Decemeber and planning to have wedding at the beginning of Dec 2011, and I am working with travel agent right now, and not all companies have prices out. I have to wait another month to collect quotes from all tour companies. Meanwhile, I am doing research on hotel wedding packages, colors, invitations, available dates for wedding and so on. Trust me there is a lot to do and time flies...

Thanks for your advice ladies!! I am so glad I found this forum to help with the planning! Although I find myself on here several hours a week now...it's def my new hobby....lol.  But in my searching I found a post from a bride of PPC 2010 maybe you have seen it but I found it very helpful.  There are several pics and she reviews the restaurants and has details of her ceremony and reception.  Actually I think it's exactly what I see myself planning, except I want to get married on the beach but her gazebo pics are beautiful and kind of makes me think about changing my mind.

Congratulation on your engagement...these comments are really useful. I am going to start planning my wedding, I have set my budget...but I just want to know the average of the wedding cost you have had to pay. This would really help me to realize if is possible to make it at PPC or if i have to choose another place.

Thank you

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
