DIY Boarding Pass STDs...lots of pics!!! :)

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies!  Thanks to all of your input I am finally finished with my Boarding Pass STDs!!  They went out last week and everyone loved them.  They definitely took a long time to create but it was worth it!  I designed them in Word and had them printed at Kinkos on metallic pearlescent cardstock that I ordered from Paperandmore.com.  Not sure if you can tell from the pics but the pearlescent cardstock was really neat and all the white areas on our STD are shimmery!  I created sleeves out of metallic gold linen cardstock (also from paperandmore.com) and tied them with palm raffia that I threaded through the back so that it would stay with the sleeve once it was opened.  I perforated the ‘passenger receipt†part of the boarding pass and attached a magnet on the back so that my guests could keep that part on their fridge (if the boarding pass was too big).  I included a brochure from our resort and put it all in a razzle pink #10 envelope that I decorated with a gold palm tree (stamp and pad from Michaels).  Finished it off with personalized stamps created at zazzle.com with our date and name.

They turned out to be about $2.75 per STD.  That price included cardstock, envelopes, 2 stamps per STD, printing costs, and raffia). I didnâ€t add in any equipment that I had to buy to make them since Iâ€ll be using it for all my DIY wedding stuff.  Not bad imo!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
