What about the Mom's attire?

Recommended Posts

My FMIL keeps asking me what she's supposed to wear and I just keep telling her that I don't care, lol.  Honestly though I think you should go shopping with her and try on both long and short dresses.  Fulfill her wishes by picking out long ones but show her how the short ones look on you and tell her how comfortable you are in them.  For example I wanted my BM's to wear short dresses...well they both liked the long one so that's what we got.  If you tell her and show her how comfortable you are in something I'm sure she'll end up agreeing with you.

Saying that my mum didnt ask me what i wanted her to wear, she just bought something and then showed me the picture. She lives in spain though so we couldnt of had a shopping spree together, had she still lived in the uk i think we may have gone out together and found something we both liked. I do like what she has chosen though, thank god!

Wow, I would never thought I had any ifluence on what my FMIL was going to wear nor would I tell her, I think as an adult and mother of the groom she can wear whatever she wants!  She has only asked me what colour my mother is wearing and will choose a different colour than her.  Good luck!

I am ready to pull my hair out when I think about my FMIL dress. She keeps talking about wearing a navy dress with sequins on it. Now that would be ok with me if i wasn't getting married in Cancun in June on the beach. I don't think this is going to mesh well! Any ideas on how to nicely turn down her idea of navy sequins for something a little more appropriate for a June beach wedding?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
