    Hi everyone,

I think my fiance and family and finally narrowed down Maui for our destination wedding next year.  As I am starting to look at locations, I really like Gannon's and the Four Seasons in South Maui and Merriman's which I heard is very nice as well.  Does anyone have any personal experience or advice on any of these locations?

    Thanks!

I am getting married November 2, 2010 and my reception is at Merriman's.  Danielle, the even coordinator has been amazing so far.  She has made it so easy!!!!  She also worked with us on our budget to make sure we still got the wedding of our dreams.  Our reception is being held on the deck which i am super excited for because it looks beautiful.  I will let you know how everything goes!

        Lauren,

We are sooo close to committing to Merriman's and using one of their tents.  Any photos?

          Hi,

I am debating on this location. How was your wedding and reception?

Hi! I have been to Merrimans for weddings and it is absolutely gorgeous! I live here on Maui so I've seen some pretty amazing venues but Merriman's seriously took my breath away! Ocean views from every angle, just blue water all around you, so pretty!! Feel free to message me if I can help you with anything else! I was a Maui destination wedding bride before I moved here so I know how hard it is to plan from so far away! :)

We just looked at Merriman's last week when we were in Maui and it was breathtaking. I am not planning on doing a traditional reception, but if I was Merriman's would be my choice for sure! Amazing views and gorgeous venue. Good luck!

                Hi everyone:

I recently decided to have my wedding in Maui in June and I couldn't be more excited about it! My fiance and I travel here every summer so it is quite a special place for us. We are having a beach ceremony, but need to decide on a venue for the reception afterward. Our group will most likely not exceed 30 people so we were thinking of having the reception at a restaurant. However, if there are other venues that are affordable and interesting, I would love to hear about those as well!

Can any brides let me know what some ballpark budgets were for receptions they have had? I was looking at Merriman's, but didn't know if it would be astronomically expensive.

Thank you!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
