I'm getting married at the Renaissance Aruba Resort in May 2009. I was so excited to see your pictures, glitterbug! Who was your photographer? Does he/she have a website? Can you offer any info about the food, etc? I am so excited to connect with people on BDW about the Renaissance!

Hey Glitterbug,

Congratulations on your wedding. Your images look awesome. Your photographer really captured the island. And you guys (You and hubby) look hot. Very good.

Feel free to contact me if you want a direct contact at the Renaissance - I've worked there a couple of times as a photographer. The "island time" is definitely different, than American Time!

Here are some other shots from a wedding last summer on the private island

BTW - I know your photographer because we both work in Austin. Great pics, Glitterbug!

Hi everyone!

My FI and I spent a 1 wk vacation @ the Renaissance and I think the Renaissance island is a perfect place to have a wedding. There are real flamingos on the beach and they decorate it beautifully with torches and candles. The resort itself is a great place with a lot of stuff for everyone to do. We saw a couple getting married there and it was truly amazing. HTH!!

Hi mjtobin27,

If you PM me with all your full name and info I will personally swing by the Renaissance and talk to the WP (Juny Jones).

Here's another perspective of a wedding shot at the Renaissance.

I am planning a DW and Renaissance Resort is one of my top picks. For those of you who have planned a wedding there or are in the process, how was/ is the communication with the wedding coordinator/department? I also sent an email and haven't heard anything.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
