Im having the same dilemma!! I am expecting 95-100 guests and that's a LOT of stuff to lug down with me so I'm at a complete loss as to what to do.

Option 1:  Assemble them beforehand and distribute them individually to everyone at the airport, which gives me a good excuse not to go overboard and stuff them too much, so I might just give a bag, a few brochures/iteneraries and a travel mug.

Option 2:  Have everything shipped down south and have the hotel prepare them for when we arrive/check-in.....

Not sure what to do!

We're going to distribute as many bags as possible before we leave (drop by people's houses that live in the same city as us) and will take the rest with us.  We have only half as many guests as you, and the thought of carrying everything down with us was stressing us out big time!  Its those damn mugs that take up so much room lol.

I think it's a great idea to distribute as many as you can prior to you leaving. I believe this depends on the hotel, but some hotels don't accept shipments so you may not be able to ship it down there prior to your arrival! And you don't want to get there and realize that some boxes never arrived.

I think you girls are right... I might just have to distribute as many as possible in advance.  Would it be a horrible thing of me to do it at the airport before check-in??? Or is that tacky and too last minute? I just don't know if I can actually drive around across town and back delivering 100 packages off.

The only thing I can think of that would make this complicated, is that you probably wont be with all your guests until you get through security and are at the gate.  And if thats the case, you will probably have way too much stuff to be able to take through security as carry-on luggage.

If you're going to wait for your guests and check in all together, that may work... but honestly, I think it would just be too stressful!  You should start relaxing the second you arrive at the airport :)

Can your bridesmaids help you deliver the bags before you leave?  That way you dont need to drive around to 100 homes.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
