Need you guys opinions on Honorary Attendants!

Recommended Posts

Fiance and I decided that we were not going to have a bridal party.  Just my daughter was going to be a Junior bride, she will be seven at the time.  My sister and his twin brother were going to be our witnesses.  (For Jamaican weddings the witnesses have to sign the documents at the ceremony.  That was going to be it.  One of my BFF's has been constantly nagging me about how she wants to be in the wedding.  Mind you she was in my first wedding.  I just dont want the bridal party drama.  So, I came up with the title of honorary attendants.  Whereas the three girls can pick any dress they want in my color scheme and wear a corsage and sit in the first row.  Has anyone ever heard of this title before?  They are definitely my girls and I want them with me but I dont want a bridal party so I just came up with that title. LOL!

This sounds like a great idea!  This way no one feels "left out" and you do not have to deal with the bridal party drama that can only add more stress to the planning process.

I am considering doing the same thing myself.  Three out of the four bridesmaids I had in my first wedding are still my close friends and I too wondered about how to include them without having a bridal party.

I'm sure you already know this, but it's your wedding and you go ahead and do whatever will work for you and your fiance!

Good luck planning...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
