Well I am booked for November 12! Going to have to go buy some new outfits and really start working out LOL. I ended up going with Renaissance, mostly because they include the hair and makeup in the cost. I am terrible at both, so to have someone do it professionally for me....I am in. I'll let you ladies know how it goes.

You should just go out and do it! :)

So the BD was a ton of fun! Just got some of the teasers :) Erin, at Renaissance was amazing. She was so positive and had so many helpful tips, the photo shoot was a breeze.

Miriam those pics are AWESOME! You are totally giving me more courage to do this lol

How long did it take to get the pics back? Did you bring your own outfits? Did you tell her in advance what type of prop shots you would like to do or did you just use what they had there?

Was it just her or were there other people around also?

OMG I love them, you look HOT girl! They did an awesome job on the hair and makeup!!!

Thanks Lisa. You should so do it!

I brought about 5 different outfits with me. And Erin was amazing. The studio is in a house in Milton. And they have about 6 different backdrops and all sorts of props (chairs, couches, mirrors, coffee table, fireplace, boas, hats, etc.) I was so nervous when I got there, but Erin got busy doing my makeup and she is so chill, that totally relaxed me. The best part is she will give you so many suggestions it was so easy. I managed to sneak some of Luke's (FI) stuff to the shoot with me to incorporate them into the pics- the bass guitar and the watch! Now just waiting to see the rest!

It was just Erin doing the makeup and photography. There were other people in the house, but they did not interupt. She did have one girl come in at one point to hold a fan for us, but she asked permission. It's also so up to you, how far you go. They will work with anything! I started in a robe (just I was nervous as hell), and then as I got more comfortable I managed to get a little more risky :) It was a lot of fun! As for the teasers, I got these back within days, but I have to wait another 3-4 weeks for the rest.

I think I just might hehe Trying to figure out what would be the latest date I could go before the wedding. We leave April 23rd so it sounds like I would have to go around Mid Feb to get the pics back in time. I forget if you told me they put a book together for you or not in the price?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
