Hi,

I am getting married on 6th May 2011 at 4pm at The Royal Cancun gazebo but I have just seen a wedding video on trip advisor and it looks like one of the beach weddings is held right by the gazebo.  Does anyone know if you can see this wedding when you are in the gazebo as I dont want to see someone elses wedding while I am getting married!

I have emailed my WC but not sure if I can rely on them to tell me the truth!  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I did a site inspection at the resort and the gazebo is gorgeous. I honestly don't think they would set up 2 weddings near each other. Everyone is reeeeally nice so it's hard to believe that they would treat you or any other bride for that matter in a bad way on your special day. I wouldn't worry about it.

We're getting married there in June of next year, we're getting married on the beach and i remember that we were given the option of getting married on the beach next to The Pelicanos resturant or next to the Gazebo,  im not sure how close the actual to ceremonys would be to each other.  hope that this kind of helps you!

From the pictures it appears close & I know the times they state are set. I was thinking of moving my wedding forward by half hour.  I have still not had a reply from my WC which concerns me as she is usually good!  Hopefully someone who has got married there will be able to answer for definite.  But thank you both!

  • 3 weeks later...

I have been there when they were having beach weddings and it was not that close to the gazebo. When I was there there were several weddings on the same day and each bride was in their old world and did not seem to be worrying about anything. I'm sure everything will be perfect on your day! I'm getting married there Nov 27th 2010 (coming up so fast!) but we are getting married at the Gran Caribe gazebo (in between the 2 properties) and having the reception on the terrace behind the gazebo. So excited! Happy planning! :)

Hi Claire!

I am also getting married at The Royal in Cancun on May 6th, 2011 at 1pm in the gazebo and had the same concern. I also have a hard time getting my WC to respond to my emails or answer the questions I have. She answer some things and skips other pieces and it drives me crazy. I even thought about canceling my wedding and moving it to the palace resorts but then I saw couples were being billed for things they shouldn't have, etc. I am so stressed out! I thought having a destination wedding makes everything easier. Boy was I wrong! If you have any information you can share and maybe I have info I have that you need, we can help each other out. PM me at k_cheerbear@hotmail.com. It is nice to meet a bride on the same day as me but I understand your feelings I don't want to see another bride on my day either. =)

Check out the Del Sol Wiki Located Here ---> http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya for unique gazebo

They are one of the most amazing photographers in Riviera Maya and have shoot here  many many times. On there wiki they have 7 slide shows with over 100 photos on each slide show. Because of their unique style I am sure you can find pictures of the gobezo from angle you wouldn't see anywhere else. It really helped me pick my wedding location from thousands of miles away =)

Sol actually just shot a wedding at the Royal.. They didnt use the gazebo for the ceremony but they DID use the gazebo for a Mayan Rutiual performance.... Totally cool and interesting way to use the gazebo.

OH,  Sol & I had the SAME kind of ritual performed as we walked down the isle... Our guests were like WHAT THE HAY IS HAPPENING HERE!!! WOWWWW.

Anyways, worth a look:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
