Cabo Local on the Boards...

Hi Everyone - Just want to introduce myself... I am not a bride anymore, but I did have a Cabo wedding.

I am a long-time resident of Cabo. My husband and I got married on a boat there. I did most of it myself, but I did use Shadias for my flowers. A beautiful Catamaran to get married on is the TROPICAT - http://www.tropicatcabo.com - not for the budget-minded but a breathtaking venue for a wedding.

Anyway - I have been reading some of your posts and you seem to be doing a great job choosing your venders etc... This forum is a fantastic way to network and learn from the experiences of others... I am even learning things myself... For one - Maye Cortines - never heard of her. However, I will go introduce myself to her and let her know about my services.

My husband and I are Baja Video Productions - http://www.BajaVideoProductions.com. We offer full service professional video production of your wedding day - at the lowest price in Cabo. Our prices are posted in the Vender Sub-forum of the Main Cabo-Forum.

I am happy to contribute anything I can to some of your questions. We ussually work with the long-time WCs here in Cabo ie; Baja Weddings, Sunset Weddings, Weddings in Paradise -

Tracy at LAZY GORMET is awesome - love her!

Peter Hatton has been around forever. Another great Photog is Paul Van Vleck - he is artistic and has worked all over the world - is a California boy - surfer - very outgoing and fun with the crowd at your wedding. www.paulvanvleckphotography.com.

So if you have special questions for a local - please don't hesitate to email me at Marci@bajavideoproductions.com. Also I would love the opportunity to work for you on your special day to produce your wedding video.

You can read a little more about us on http://www.BajaVideoProductions.com.

You can also see some demo clips of our work - they are compressed for the internet so remember the clarity and size of your final product is not represented there.

So I am looking forward to spending time on the boards here - and talking with many of you about your wedding experiences here in cabo.

Kindest Regards, Marci

Welcome Marcy, It's always nice to have a local vendor on the board to give recommendations on certain Vendors, Juan (antother Photograher) is on here from time to time and has offered great advice in helping assist in some questions.

Welcome to the board, and hope to pick your brain later.. lol

Hi Janet - me too... I bet you are getting SO excited! - You will be happy to know that, besides the little storm we had, the weather has been perfect. The heat has broken and we are off to a beautiful Cabo winter!

Hope to hear from you soon...

Thanks for the welcome notes.... and sorry Tammy - I have not heard of "Lovely Weddings"... Some of the girls that work for the "Big Three" Wcs out here have broken off and started their own companies... If you have a name I may know them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
