That sounds great! congratulatins to you, that is something less to worry about! It's crazy how quickly things change, we moved our date to August 22, 2013 and are looking into working with Anne Marie from weddings in the bahamas. She appears to be great! She has answered all my quesitons and concerns and has really put me at ease as far as how she goes about helping the bride pla the wedding and whatnot. We are still looking at room rates, as well. We had looked into Punta Cana (which looks gorgeous, by the way) but the consensus appears to be the Bahamas, happy planning and I look forward to hearing how the process is going for you! cheesy.gif

I will def recommend Anne Marie.. Although I didn't plan to use her or anyone... But she was the one person I talked to that didn't try to gouge the prices to ridiculous rates!.. I'm sure she will help you plan something amazing!!..

Atlantis seems to put all really great roomo rates!  Compared to their normal rates.. But my company just sent over 100 employess there and they all came back and said the food was overpriced and I hated to do that to my guests for our wedding.. But we def plan to visit there sometime soon!.. I sre am going to miss getting married at the Cloisters though.. :o(

Thank You, and I can't wait to hear and see all about your planning!..

I second that, Anna Marie and her staff are awesome.  Although I wont be using her as my WP because I have one included with my venue, Iâ€ve witnessed her work at the Poop Deck-Sandy Port while dining/site visiting.  It was great, you wont be sorry.  Iâ€ve heard great things about her.

Budget is definitely key because in reality you still have a life to live after the wedding.  The Atlantis, although pricey in some aspects, was a great choice because itâ€s a special place to me.  Like Whatsup said, there are always options.  Iâ€m giving my guests the options of 5 star accommodations all the way to 2.5 star, along with timeshare rental options if they choose.  I even selected a date that coordinates with multiple cruise ships if that was the journey they chose to take.  I felt so bad for one post I saw about a bride that choose another venue over her ideal because it was more cost effective for her guest.  Now weeks before her wedding her guest list isnâ€t even 75% of what she thought it would be and now sheâ€s regretting her choice.  In the end, the day should be about what the couple wants, but definitely explore and offer all options.  Although Atlantis is great, I will definitely be pushing my guest to explore Nassau and local eateries…after all its their vaca too and there are many great reasonable restaurants like the  Poop Deck, Café Matise, and lets not forget the Fish Fry! • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
