Am I weird?

Recommended Posts

So my sisters Baby Shower was on Sunday. I made a whole bunch of food and I had a veggie tray. My Grandma asked me what was in the dip and I told her it was just Heluva Good Dip (stuff from the store) She looked at me in shock and said "You should never tell someone that you bought it at the store if they think you made it" and all the ladies started going on about how they always tell their FH's that they made stuff from scratch even though it was store bought. They couldnt believe me when I said I wouldnt do that and that if I make it myself FI knows and he also knows if I bought it. Am I the only person who is honest about food?feedback.gif

Um no! I would never tell someone I made something that I bought at the store, that is Lying! Not saying they are liars or anything, but I do think its wrong to say you made something you did not.

I get mad when people makes cakes from a box and sell them to other people saying they made them. You might have decorated it, but you did not make it. lol So no, I would never do that.

BTW, I love Heluva Good!

The thing is though it wasnt just older woman. My sister does it all the time she said. If she buys say a lasagna her FH wont eat it because its store bought. He thinks its gross. But if she puts it in a dish and says she made it he will eat it and love it. Its so weird to me. Like Robin is just happy that there is dinner waiting for him every night after work. Regardless of who made it or where it came from.

Or worse yet, what if they want the recipe!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
