CONFIRMED FOR THE ROSE HALL SUITES JUNE 2011!!! What Next??

Recommended Posts

Hi Islandgirl....

I really liked the resort and I am searching for deals through a travel agent to take the stress off of my fiance and I. I'm also hoping to get discounts and upgrades via the travel agent since I feel they would know more about what they were doing then I would. I used expedia, priceline, orbitz etc. to compare a quote I received from Liberty Travel and so far Liberty Travel had the best rate by far. I'm still shopping for my agent but I like Liberty, the only downside is they are strictly travel, not wedding or group trips per say. They just find the best deals for everyone according to when they inquire about booking their trip. Ex. If you were going to my wedding you could book your trip today for one price (airfare included) for a limited time. But if you waited a while and say you called to book your trip a month from now your rate could change unless you made an initial deposit. Additionally, air fare doesn't seem to be discounted in any way unless you personally pay a deposit and hold seats for your guest yourself. Bonus however, I know Liberty Travel does Save the Dates for Free...nothing fancy but Free is Free!

Hope that helps

Mrsrice thanks for your thorough reply. It's funny prior to finding this website, I had inquired with Liberty Travel about their expertise re destination weddings. It just so happens that the one near my house does specialize in destination weddings, or I'm sure in their opinion, booking hotel and airfare. Nonetheless the agent I spoke with is nice and I'd rather use them to help alleviate any stress that I would endure re booking. I didn't know they send out free save the date cards. Girl that's good to know!

Your very welcome islandgirl...

When I wrote that response I was still shopping around for the best packages but as of today I have gone with Liberty Travel. I really liked my travel agent and the first time we met she was All about Iberostar even though I hadn't made my resort decision. I took my time comparing rates online, seeking online booking agents and family recommended travel agents and I know I made the right decision going with Liberty. Not only did she take her time seeking rates for me she was willing to contact Iberostar directly about their rates, (which supposedly Liberty's are still better), which I believe. Like I said, Liberty has save the dates that they will print for you. It turns out you have to purchase envelopes and mail them yourself but the fact that they are customized and free makes it a great deal in my opinion. Make sure they give you a honeymoon discount on your package too!

Happy planning!

  • 5 months later...

I'm getting married on June 21st, 2011 at the Rose Hall Suites. I'm torn between Aunt Ruby's Steak House and Calabash for the reception. Not sure if it will be too hot out at night for all of my guests to be comfortable at Aunt Ruby's. I've seen some pictures during the summer weddings where brides looked like they were sweating while dancing on the terrace.

Thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing...have you heard anything about that yet?  Which one did you pick?

After reading the entire 233 page thread of  Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!  I've decided to go with Calabash. Many brides commented on how it was pretty hot and for some people that's okay. If I was getting married at another time of the year, I would probably be more apt to go with Aunt Ruby's, but I just don't want my guests to be uncomfortable especially with guys in pants/long dress shirts, etc.

When are you getting married?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
