Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Bride- WEDDING DATE CONFIRMED!!! Whats next???

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone-

Ive searched all over.. with Travel Agents and Mr.Iberostar.com.. Here is what I have found out.. Early booking for 2011 ends around October 15, 2010.  Ive directed all of my guests to book with Liberty Travel.  Their rates are about the same as everyone else.  The benefit is comparison to others is the payment structure.  The downpayment is only $100 per room (not guest).  As long as it is paid by October 15th.. the room is guaranteed at the early booking rate.  The next payment is not due until February 2011 which gives people time to save and get through the holidays and its is fully refindable if you find something better in the meantime.  Here are the rates I was quoted WITHOUT AIR: (Air packages can be arranged also) Hope this info helps!!!

The reviews are fantastic, and Nicole has been great at answering my questions (although they are on Jamaica time so sometimes it takes a week or two to get a response). I am also going with an outside florist called Tai Flora who have been nothing but accommodating and extremely helpful. I highly recommend them. I will write a review after I get back - I am set to tie the knot on the beach there on October 14th - only 5.5 weeks left!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! If any of you ladies have any questions about the process, feel free to ask!

I would HIGHLY recommend that all DW brides use a travel agent.  All I had to do was tell my travel agent where and when.  She did the rest.  My wedding is in June, 2011 at the IB Rose Hall Suites.  Packaged with airfare and transfer vouchers, my guests will be paying just under $300 per night (for TWO guests).

It's so much easier telling your guests to call your TA.  That way you can keep track of your guests and itineraries, etc.  If there are any problems with the reservations, it's the TA who will take charge.

Good luck with the planning!

What are your thoughts? I was ready to book the Iberostar Suite, Jamaica with my TA for the following prices:

Suites:

3n= $1096.92 pp ($400 air included)

4n= $1293.42 pp ($400 air included)

7n= $1844.92 pp ($400 air included)

Grand:

3n= $1180 pp ($400 air included)

4n= $1440 pp ($400 air included)

7n= $2220 pp ($400 air included)

Is it just me or does this seem high in comparison to everyone else rates?

I can't speak for the Grand, because I never looked into that Hotel.  I wanted my guests to be able to bring their kids (if they wanted), and the Grand is adults only.  My TA only gave me quotes for rooms with double occupancy.  It ends up being cheaper (don't ask me why).  The rates for Rose Hall Suites should hover around $300/night (for two people).  The rate may vary by $20 or so...but any price around that number is a good rate.  Assuming double occupancy, your rate is in the $400's per night.  I'd say that's a bit high.  You can book on expedia.com for cheaper than that.  However, it depends on when you're travelling to Jamaica.  There are peak seasons, so perhaps your quote is for a peak season?  You'll also want to ask if that rate is for an ocean view, etc.?

Well to be totally honest - not too thrilled about the wait times for email responses. I emailed Nicole about 3 times with questions regarding details. She didn't get back to me but finally someone else did - Nicole is on vacation until September 25th or something. That is only 2 weeks before I leave! Hopefully I can finalize everything before then!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
