Dreams PV or Azul Sensatori?

After researching and debating for about 4 months between any of the Dreams and Azul Sensatori I ended up deciding on Azul.  Both companies do amazing weddings, so my decision came down to one tiny detail.  Azul has a few rows of swim-up rooms that share a lazy river.  I could just picture my closest friends and family all booking that row of rooms and having one big party for the weekend!

I actually visited Azul before making my final decision and it really was amazing...the food, customer service, overall atmosphere.  I'm sure Dreams has all of those same great things, so my only suggestion is find the tiny differences between the two and see which one fits you and your vision best!  Good luck...I promise it all gets easier after this tough decision!

Azul Sensatori, May 7, 2011!

We were in a very similar situation as you...had narrowed it down, both resorts had everything we wanted. The big difference for me was the size of the resort. Azul Sensatori has 440 rooms. While Dreams is much larger, I think it was 700 rooms. While this can help with pricing or reserving a large number of rooms, my FI and I really wanted a smaller venue. So we choose the Azul. We did a site visit in April and loved the resort. Hope that helps. I know the decision is hard. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Good luck! :)

Thanks so much for the suggestions I appreciate the input. I am leaning slightly toward PV because I would like to honeymoon where we were engaged in Yelapa. The smaller resort and one wedding a day at Azul is attractive though.

It's really hard to decide. :(

Murmel - Way it rainy in April? I am looking at end of April/May dates and I see that maybe the rainy season starts in May? There also seems to be conflicting dates for rainy season which is equally confusing.

We were at the Azul over the Easter weekend. I can only remember one very little sun shower, which lasted maybe 5 minutes. But it was very windy the whole week. Not sure how the weather in PV would be, but I think you'd be fine in Mexico at the time.

We are also getting married at Azul Sensatori in April. Unfortunately, I was not able to get there for site visit. Just going on my instinct and yes, the lazy river looks great. I also wanted a smaller feel, I think we are going to have less than 40 family and friends with us. Good luck in making your decision. With every tough decision we make through this process, the one thing to remember is that we are marrying the person that we love and want to spend the rest of our lives with. No matter where the wedding takes place, he will still be there wanting to marry you love.gif

Hi there!  We were married at Azul Beach (just up the road from AS) in mid April.  It poured our first 3 days there.  Other April brides who had dates earlier in the month than mine also encountered a lot of rain.  However, one reason we chose April is because it's supposed to have the least rainfall of any month in the RM.  All the locals say this year was a fluke.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
