Tammy..

I did not make it to the session... I signed up originally and got the cancelled e-mail. I never got any notification that it was rescheduled or anything, so I had no idea! Can you keep me and the rest of us posted on where we can access this info once you post it?

That would be great!

Thanks

Tammy:

I participated in the webinar however one of the answers I got wasn't very clear. This is my scenario: I am using the Ultimate Package and would like to have a private reception at the restaurant El Patio. Gabby said I would be able to do that but there would be extra fees involved. What are those extra fees and are they per person (including everyone) or per person (the additional number of people not included in the 20 people by package already includes for a reception)

I guess i'm confused. I'm planning on having 40 people with my group. Based on that I'm just trying  to figure out a  round about figure as to what the reception is going to cost me minus the dj, decorations and other extras. I

I've gotten several emails back from my coordianator and all she has been able to tell me is that to close a restaurant it is $30 per person and a minimum of 40 people is required.

I had exactly the same problem.  My contract from Ana stated that I would have the reception in a closed restaurant for NO extra charge.  I emailed Gabby about it when Ana left and she gave me the choice of El Patio or Himitsu, again with no extra charge.  She said that since I had over 40 people that it would be fine for it to be private and that we would just have to pay per person for everyone over the 20 included in the package.  That was fine......then I got an email from my new assigned coordinator, Magdalene or Maggie.  She said that she would have to check with management on the availability of El Patio and that it would be $30 additional per person for it to be private.  Well I emailed her back letting her know that I was given El Patio as a choice from Ana and Gabby and that I was never informed of an additional cost for it to be private.  She got back to me letting me know that it was a mistake and that the $30 per person is for a private party in one of the restaurants like a Welcome Dinner and that we would only have to pay per person for the extra people over the original 20 included in our package and that El Patio would be fine.

Lesson Learned:  If you get conflicting informaiton, tell them and see if they will honor what you were originally told or if they made a mistake.  Hope that helps you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
