Tammy said we could (with this new forum) give a special badge to the winner - a "Superstar" badge, so there's your motivation!  WOOHOO!  Oh, and of course the slimmer, trimmer body too.  ;)

GOOD LUCK!

I thought it would be cute to add a "Did you know?" or "fun fact" weight loss tip of the week for the 12 week span (well, 13, including this week). Every Sunday, I'll add another weight loss(diet or exercise) 'tip of the week'.

I'm overdue this week, but here it goes:

Tip Of The Week

(August 15 - 21)

Did you know that ...Bowling for 3 games is the equivalent of walking one mile? Better grab your bowling ball/shoes and make your way to that alley!

I'll join too!! I'm not in it to win, but it will be nice to have the motivation for my upcoming November wedding. My goal is to lose 5-10 lbs in 12 weeks. And I apologize in advance, the scale at my gym is old school chemistry balance looking. I'll be sneaky taking pictures because I think cameras are banned. But if I'm not in it to win it, maybe the picture of the scale isn't as important? I just want to see my pant size drop :P

Welcome aboard, Leslie! A pic of the scale is not necessary if you're joining for fun, only if you want to be eligible to win.

Marla - That's a great idea for adding recipes, advice and such. Everyone: If you have any advice, tips, or recipes, etc. please feel free to post them and it'll be very appreciated.

I'll be doing a fun fact 'tip of the week' every Sunday, but any advice you all have would be great! Post away! =]

Hi Ladies - I will join as an unofficial competitor as my wedding is the end of October so I will be gone in the middle of the contest.  I still have 8 lbs to lose before the wedding so this will be great motivation!

Thanks for hosting Chelsea and for overseeing it Ann.  Congrats on your pregnancy, that is wonderful news!

Welcome, Cindy!

I forgot to add in the main page, but I'll add it on here: If you are joining for fun/motivation and don't want to compete, please remember to state so in the initial email you send me, so I can better keep track of the contestants. The non-contestants will not be eligible to win, but the one that loses the bigger percentage of weight loss will still get a congratulatory special mention =]

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
