I ordered my Reception dress!

Recommended Posts

So, earlier this week I posted about the Maggie Sottero dress I ordered and recieved. The dress was a letdown and the color was not what I wanted at all. I contacted the shop on Tuesday and they said that theyâ€re willing to do a dress exchange to another Sottero dress.

I chose the 'Jenna' for my dinner reception dress that I'll change into after the ceremony. I can't wait until it comes in! =]

This is the final dress and with it being white, I don't think color will be an issue:

This was the original dress I ordered and returned:

(The color shows a darker red that I wanted, but it was actually a bright, lighter red)

Yea, Chelsea!!

I'm glad they are able to work with you on getting a new gown for your reception....nothing worse that being stuck with something you don't want and can't use!  HOORAY for your salon for probably going above and beyond their own policies to make the bride happy!  LOVE it when that happens.....!

And personally, I think the JENNA gown is so much more of a WOW! gown than the one in red, despite it's vibrant red color -- I think everything happens for a reason, and here is another shining example of that!  Can't wait to see pics of you in your beautiful JENNA gown!

Let me tell you that you won't be disappointed in your decision!  I too am a Maggie bride and my dress is the Jenna...it came in last month after 6 months of eager anticipation and it is totally gorgeous!  I absolutely LOVE it!!   Congrats on your pick!

Both are gorgeous dresses! However, I'd have to say I like the first Chiffon silk dress best.

If you're having a hard time choosing, perhaps wear the first one for the rehearsal dinner (after all, the dinner is supposed to be the kick start to the wedding's events) and the second dress as the reception dress because it looks more bridal. They are both beautiful choices tho! Congrats on the wedding! =]

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
